Almost every time I have seen one of these things, the scammers say they are Pakistani, not Indian...so I'm not sure what is going on, or who is to blame, but as I said, they almost exclusively say they are Pakistani, and they are working in India, or Pakistan. Maybe the Indian people are lying about that, so the Pakistani's get the blame? Now wouldn't that be something...A DOUBLE SCAM!

look at this perspective, you have graduated out of college with money put by your parents pension fund. You start looking for a job and realize that now the burden of taking care of you and your family rests on you. You apply and get interviewed for a "legitimate" job in the papers and land up with this. You are given 100 dollars a month and told that you can make an additional 50 per sale. the average cost of living is around 350 dollars per month. Meanwhile the real scammers ,Banks, have made you take huge loans . you are at crossroads here , you need to scam at least 3-4 people a month to make ends meet. at first you don't want to do it , but then you think of all the people depending on you , then you sell your soul. IF you are a person of morals and principles then you decide that you need to complain to the authorities and you soon realize that these centers are run by the mafia and the police and government are involved. But on saying this I must say that the people who sit at the computer and scam are equally to blame as well , because they do know that they are cheating and looting innocent people but they normalize and internalize it , some even enjoy it. I had stepped into this world 8 years ago when I was struggling , both my parents were suffering from cancer , however I realized on day one that I would not sell my soul. the price I had to pay was my dad's demise without the ability of me able to send him to hospital but he was happy that I did not sell my soul. My mom lived on for a few more years but I was able to give her some comforts because I had studied , struggled and was able to get a better job. however the job I have now I realize that it too is kind of a scam. projects from oversees being send to software development teams here coz we get it done for cheaper even though I work for a multinational. the problem is at the end of the day is the divide between the hav's and have not't this will always encourage scams , it has been practiced from time immemorial .

These types of scammers nearly gave my 72 year old mother a heart attack. She literally called me from her other line in a panic. I had to curse at her to break through the panic calm her down. I was 41 at the time, and had only cursed at her once before when I was an emotional teenager. I got her to hang up, and then I drove to her home to help her calm down. Keep up the good work

My grandmother almost fell for one of these scams one time but I walked in while it was happening. Basically as soon as he heard me talking he just hung up and called her back a couple of days later. Sad thing is when she told the scammer that her grandson had fixed her computer and didn't need his help the scammer went from nice to mean very quickly, started cursing at her and saying horrible things.

You can hide the fact that it’s a virtual machine pretty well if you take the time to make it stealthy. I think destroying their confidence by telling them that everything they think they know and try to do is incorrect and won’t work is just as effective. If the bank account is negative or at $0.00 they still do their best to harvest whatever info they can. They might save bank login details to check back at later dates to see if money has been added so they can try the scam again. Or they may just try to get as many personal details as possible to sell off to other scammers.
