I found this video in 2009. My then girlfriend and I were studying together in a foreign country, she was the one who introduced me to Placebo. At the end of our studies we had to go our separate ways, back to our home countries,14,000km apart. 15 years and many relationships later, I still come back to this video and think of her and what could have been. Still hurts.

I cannot believe how after all these years I keep coming back to this video clip this song...This is the sadest song ever...with lyrics like "don't give up up on the dream, dont give up on the wanting" I am really curious about what or who gave Brian the inspiration for these lyrics...After all it is true that many people are REALLY afraid to be alone....am I into these lyrics or what!!!!

This song has an enormous strength to it... The lyrics, the music... Been listening to it for almost 4 years now and still makes me remember nice things.there are memories in it...and as this song continues to exist, so do they... something only placebo can achieve.for me anyway

This is by far one of the best videos, for several reasons. The music of choice is superb since it is slow phased and has a down to earth simple touche to it. The production of the video is superb together with the music. Especially the train-scene from 0:41 - deep! when he closes his fist. So noir but so good! Thank you very much!

Thanks for the words everyone. The movie is called "Point of No Return" and it's from 1965. In between this man's story they have a bunch of psychologists trying to figure out what's wrong with the poor guy. It's rather silly, but something struck me with this guy's look. His face has so much buried emotion.

i came for the brilliant song but fell in love with this video. this man is such an amazing actor. i'm sure my face looked exactly like this as i walked through the crowds on the way to try and kill myself. his empty eyes and blank grim expression. and the director is awesome too, the way life seems to become more extreme and colourful and loud around him, as he walks towards his death, everything in his head is getting turned down. so calm. i really felt this video and the music fit perfectly
