Foolproof Slow Camera Push Ins

For a long time, I've been looking for a way to achieve the slow camera push with less gear, less crew and less margin for error. I finally found it with a motorized monopod called the Moza SlyPod Pro.

I have the 24-70 GMIi on my FX3 which makes these types of focus moves super easy and effective.

@@rovingearth7028 to be clear I was talking about pushing in or "trucking" in while keeping focus and not zooming the lens.

One way I push in with sharp focus is to place an 8K clip on a 1080p (or 4K) timeline and then use Premiere Pro. Since 8K gives 4 times the pixels/resolution need on a 1080p timeline, you can slowly push in without pixilating or without using additional equipment.

The digital push in is great, but it's essentially a zoom. You don't get the feeling of drawing physically closer.

Not hard at all if you have the video resolution to do it in the editing phase - no hardware needed. On a SUPER technical basis there may be a slight difference between the two looks that makes a camera on a dolly look better but I can't imagine more than 1 viewer out of 500 could even tell the difference
