I'm loving the story so far, but having almost half of the dialog in Spanish really makes me feel like I'm missing out on a lot of the story.

I feel very much the same way. The first season was very good about translating and starting it out in their native language but making sure we knew what was being said and going on. I’m beginning to feel a little lost in this season like you said, missing out on a lot of the story.

I like that feeling of isolation of not understanding quite what is going on, adds to the suspense and further subterfuge that will be happening later.

Honestly you aren’t missing much without understanding Spanish. I myself know less Spanish than Simon (though I know a bit of Latin and Italian so that helps). It’s really just small talk and simple commands.

Just a little confused - is season 3 the direct follow-up from Imperial or is it set in a different location?

Season 3 is a continuation of the main story from Season 1 & 2, but it introduces a new location/team. The story is larger than just the Outpost Fristed team, so Seasons 1 & 2 is like the first 'act'. Imperial is a bonus mini-series, and while it is not required for the story, it adds a nice layer and gives an early introduction to Dr. Liu.

The monolingual people whining in the comments is getting old. Not everything is going to be strictly in English. If you got over the fact that they say words that aren’t in English (oh the horror), you can actually figure out what they’re saying. It’s literally not difficult. At all. Just use linguistics or context clues. Learn something.

right, i understand the appeal of all the characters being from different culteres and bla bla but them having 3-5 sentances in there native laguages without andy kind of trasnlation is just pissing me off becuase im missing out on some small part of these characters no matter how insignificant, even though i understand 1 of them bcz i know the language. I cannot get information in any other way for the story other than the characters voices, (save for transcriptions but fuck that). At least put the translations in the captions or the description. I dont want the gist of it i wanna know exactly what these fictional fucks are saying.

I don't know about "cackling," but I agree that they're pretty unlikable so far; although for me, I think it's the accents, and for you it seems to be that they're a bunch of _uppity "academic" women._ : / lol. I'm guessing at least one of the creators of this show is a woman, and an academic. If the production quality wasn't so high, I might have thought that getting voice actors with thick accents was cheaper or something, but I'm wondering now if maybe it's intentional in order to keep the voices distinct from one another, and not just that they were written that way, or for some other reason. I got used to the accents on season 1 and 2, so I'm sure I'll get used to them here.
