Yes! I had one in the same place and my doctor told me to leave it and it did go away by itself.

I have one of these on my palm. Doesn’t hurt. But my dermatologist said they can’t remove it, I need to see an orthopedic surgeon to remove it since it’s on the bone/joint.

I can't remember the difference if there is one it's basically like having a blowout in a tire. I think the difference is this is in the joint and a ganglion is on a tendon. Like a little balloon blow out on an inner tube. That's my guess from Medical School a long time ago

​@@juliajohnson2826you're speaking specifically about your experience with gout. I don't believe these are from the same reasons. Medical school was a long time ago but this is a bust in the sack around the joint. You'll notice it's clean and clear. Gout comes from animal products and too much Uric acid. It can also come from alcohol use. Because when you drink your kidneys have to completely dump the contents and deal with the alcohol so you don't die. And it goes straight to your feet and legs eventually your hands and face. Giving that lumpy nose that is immortalized in cartoons. I think there's a big difference. I may be wrong but I don't think so. He would have mentioned it I think also
