I would like to think that after murdering his wife he would have been hit with a wave of guilt and remorse and called the police, but to go on and murder one child and then the other... That is incomprehensible to me.

I think he acted so strange while watching the CCTV footage at neighbours, was because he realised it showed shadows of the children and he thought they would all see it too ... but they didn't!

When Chris makes these vague statements to his father, he is allowing his father to participate in the creation of Chris’ new version of events. Isn’t this the same technique that people with NPD use in order to get others to create a “self” for them, because they don’t have a true self of their own?
@CleoHarperReturns2 жыл бұрын
The worst part of his murders (for me) is that those oil tank inspection hatches are about 7.5in. His daughters were small, but not that small. As he recalls his murders later, he leaves this part out but it seems more of an oversight than actual guilt. I just can't even imagine.

Hello OMINOUS SOHOMINOUS! I watched several videos of Chris when The Behavior Panel did their body language expertise on him. Great video considering the heinous crimes he did. The police and especially the detective were on to him right outta the gate. Chris was rocking back and forth like a caged animal. You could tell His neighbor knew he was lying and blown away with what he was saying. Very interesting. He was looking for a place to run. He NEVER mentioned his children’s name!!!

I think this has been one of the worst and notorious world wide cases. I know that after getting familiar with it, I had to take a break from true crime because I began to go to a dark place. Timothy Smith killed his five kids and carried them around in the trunk of his car for days but that case did not get the same notoriety.

This case was heartbreaking. Shann'an and his daughters were in the way. He wanted to start a new life with his girlfriend NK. He even contacted the girls school, telling them that they would no longer attend. He also contacted a real estate agent to put the house on the market, all before he returned home from disposing of his family. Shann'an's family, the Rzuceks, have come under constant attack from a few Utubers, who have used the case to enrich themselves. The worst one is Alan Vinnecombe, of the channel "The Armchair Detective. Thankfully, an English Law Firm, which specialises in Online harassment, bullying, etc., has taken on the case. Frankie Rzucek, Shann'an's younger brother, got them on board and many, including myself, have contributed to the legal fund. Their target is The Armchair Detective. We are all hoping that he will be removed from Utube, heavily fined and forced to pay reparation to the family. As for Dr Grande, his only qualification is that he acts as a Councillor. He's made so much money, giving the impression that he is a Medical Doctor. It's sad.

Would you consider doing a video on the psychology behind family killers? Chris Watts, Scott Peterson, and Jeffrey McDonald are some major ones that come to mind. Similarities (e.g. narcissism), differences…

Hello. I just recently heard of one of the most bizarre and hideous crimes committed by a young woman in Texas named Taylor Morton. She was found guilty and the sentencing phase of her trial just started on Oct. 12. She wasn’t deemed legally insane because her actions were unquestionably premeditated. But, imo, she must have some sort of diagnosable mental health issue. I would be interested in hearing your take on this woman’s personality and her crime. Thank you.

I love Dr. Das's analysis. Mousy and cold most definitely a good description for Watts. I still like Dr. Grande as well. It is so difficult for people like myself who live a simple life, to even grasp why someone would commit such unbearable crimes.

Would have liked to have seen more about Watts & your opinions. I have watched a lot of footage of this case, his lies, infidelity, selfishness. I would love to hear what you think. This snippet was not enough!. That's alright, I'm binge watching !!! So glad I found this channel. It is what I have been studying for 50 years. I subscribed today, but I don't think it will take me long to catch up. Keep up the great job. Only thing bad about binge watching is eventually you run out of content & have to wait till you upload again!

As much as lie detector tests are unreliable in themselves, I do find that they are a useful tool under the right circumstances with the right test administrator. Not because of the chart results, because of the body language and the spoken language of the person being tested can actually reveal a lot!

We would love to know what would make a man who had never broke the law before kill his family rather than divorce ? He had never had a speeding ticket ,drunk driving or dv ticket and his in-laws had helped the through $$ issues. Both parents healed when wife had surgery moved in & took care of kids when needed. There must be a diagnosis for someone who is always in the back of all the family photos & float around on his wife’s coat tails with friends & family kinda of a boring type with a beer pay check & Champagne taste for his sports memorabilia. Type of guy that thinks it’s ok to drive a sports car when he’s a dad of 3 and can barely pay his house payment s.

There's this murder case that occured a few years ago in Victoria, BC Canada. This divorced father murdered his young children at Christmas. He's claiming he's totally innocent. The evidence is clear he did do it. He was and found guilty. It would be a fascinating case for you to cover.

Hi Dr Das i am a true crime buff, but i reckon that he was always like that, the video of his 😮😮😮 mother is really dodgy, i was just repulsed by her she is in such denial about her son, I was watching you talking with Shaun Atwood and Andrew gold, i agree with Andrew that (and I have mentioned this before) you are definitely in the right job, i have said before that even now at 72 years young, still on anti depressants,when i had my children i now know that i had post natal depression, but way back in time i was seeing shrinks and being pilled up, if only i had a psych like you, your voice is so calming and level, kudos to you doc ❤ your the best,✌🏽💯✨

Interesting reference to Dr Grande, thanks Doc! More relevantly, I do believe Dr Todd Grande's channel is where I first heard about this case, which has become a cottage industry. I find him insightful and compassionate, but indeed his output is such that videos run the risk of trivializing extremely serious high profile cases for the sake of the audience. If I may venture to put his analysis of the George Floyd case on the list of such flawed case studies, so be it. He remains a brilliant and insightful psychologist - not a psychiatrist.

Chris Watts still makes my skin crawl. Shanann was unknowingly married a monster. Why did Chris Watts think that murdering his family would free him to be with his mistress? It seems like magical thinking to me. Maybe he is so arrogant that he thought nobody would discover his crimes? Maybe both?
