Wouldn't it have to be proven that Envy knew his partner was defrauding investors? Legally, I know the onus was on Envy to perform his due diligence before endorsing the service, but it is quite possible that his partner defrauded him too.

For example, if Envy was paid X amount of $ SPECIFICALLY to promote, his liability would be minimal due to plausible deniability. The issue is Envy seems to be way more involved and I would not be surprised if he received some level of compensation for each deal which is another layer of possible liability. When you have a partnership, you have an obligation to be aware of the happenings occurring in your business and to blow the whistle if things such as fraud are occurring or your risk being held liable. Envy is not a Realtor, broker nor financial advisor. He was way out of his wheelhouse on this and relied on the business acumen of a felon who admits to learning everything he knows in prison which should have put him on the highest of alerts 🚨 🚨🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚨🚨
