My critical analysis is that, This Derby is just over-emphasized, over the years it is just about commercial revenues and monetary interests, sponsors been happy and broadcasters getting a share that's all. But footballing wise it is not getting us anywhere even their watched games since in the 70s have lowest scoring derbies compared to the other famous derbies in the world according to category A derbies. This is another charity cup, Vodacom challenge and black label cup and this PSL fixture is no different. What I wished Pirates and Chiefs should produce is having 70% of their footballers uplifting Bafana Bafana directly and indirectly by either competing at the highest levels of club football. Ahly and Zamalek push each other since in this they are considered in a list of category A top derbies or players being snubbed by European leagues like in other parts of this continent, then you know it's a clash of titans. No European league is offering deals to these teams and players than it is happening in the West of Africa which statistically have poor football quality and poor participation in CAF competitions, the Asec mimosas or any in Senegal or Cameroon and all but have strong good national teams.
