I have a feeling in a few years down the road they will have the console version competing with EA. I hope they keep all the depth of the simulation and add in letting us take control of the actual game. That would be so cool. It would be a way way better version of EZFC. We need more licensing though.

That's not the point of FM tho, that you could control the players yourself. The point exactly is that you are the manager and make decisions how you want the team to play and watch how it goes. If you can control the players, the strategic decisions you make -as a manager- have 0 impact just like in EA's games.

I always feel as a console player of the game over the last few years having played PC versions prior that i'm playing a very watered down version. I kinda like the nitty gritty detailed chores of management that the console kinda washes over with what seems like window dressing without substance. I mean some of the pages may as well be transformed into an on/off tab for all the use they are. I love the game but i think its letting console players down. I dont mean the detailed tribulations of the players mentality and what they are complaining about as i'm not a lover of this. I just find it hard to connect with the players as their so called manager as i dont see the effects of my input in training and development on a weekly basis. Yes they do a little arrow display after a month but your input and effort every week should be reflected in response from the players. Lets face it, people make mistakes. It would be nice to see these mistakes taking root and being able to counter them the following week and the players development being effected by them. Just feels like i'm striking through the right trigger at times as years flyby in few hours...

They have a restrictive amount of memory. Remember that memory is shared with the gpu, whereas on pc most systems will have a dedicated graphics card with its own memory. Most pcs are a lot more powerful than consoles unless very old.

I've noticed that no one is playing console. Almost all of the in depth videos and how tos happen on the PC version, 23 included. It makes sense, it's easier to record and stream and more in depth. The simplified interface might actually be better for video, though. What I'd be interested in is if there are features in PC that you miss if you go deep into console gameplay

I tried reducing the current and potentials down to the lowest (either 1 or half star). Even on mobile its been possible to sign wonderkids etc from here so that kinda annoyed me.

I used to absolutely love Championship Manager on the Amiga, would spend hours and hours on it, on top of the 45 mins it took to load. 😂 Would sit reading the commentary and watching coloured circles moving around a pitch like it was the best thing ever. I have just never been able to get into the football manager iteration for some reason, despite trying multiple times on both PC and Console. Watching this to see if I would like the new version, before anyone says anything...

They probably did the basic polishing of console versions as next year it all resets with a new engine. Better to put the time into that I think. Fm24 is really fm23.5 in some respects, its just the same but the things that they ran out of time for got added.

I've given up on FM since you need a super computer to run it Now and then try the console versions. I find the same thing every time with a new load- no matter how early you chose to take over the last manager has spent all the budget, and you're stuck managing a bunch of players you didn't want but can't sell. They even loan new players in before they go! Then every budget signing gets rejected for work permit. I'm convinced its all done to get you to buy the power ups, shocking sell out of a game.

I think it's a memory issue, console memory is more dedicated to graphics than RAM, needs that to manage the leagues. Personally play it on gamepass cloud on my phone. They don't have it touch optimized like last year's game, which is a shame.
