Brazil's secret is that it is the most populous nation in the world where soccer is the national sport. If the United States liked and practiced soccer as much as Brazil, it would perhaps produce more players than Brazil, or perhaps than India, Pakistan or China. The thing is that soccer does not have the same reach in these countries.
