I loved this series. Been to Barrow too (now Utqiagvik, or I call it The U) it's a special place with not a lot of recreation, that blue turf is well-taken care of requiring maintenance due to being right on the windy rock beach next to the port, so playing football is a big deal because there's lots of talent in Alaska looking to get out and make a life for themselves outside of this dark cold corner up here. Also special to spend time getting to know the coach, the players, their families, and see how some people are up here. Thanks NFL Network! Please come back to Alaska.

@@joekhatib3798 It's just the lifestyle... so remote and different than anything I've ever experienced growing up in the suburbs of a highly populated area like Phoenix my whole life. It's just amazing to get their perspective and see how everything works over there and see how people are after growing up in such a harsh environment like that. Like yeah Phoenix is one of the hottest cities in the world but the amount of heat doesn't even remotely compare to the freezing cold, darkness, wilderness, isolation, etc that they experienced their whole lives. Yet at the same time it still feels a lot like an American town in many ways. That's just crazy to me.

Bass God barrow is the only place in the bush or real north that has a football team. But a dome would never happen. Barrow does not have nearly the money. As it is the football team is super expensive based on the fact the fly to all their games.

dont even compare living in texas to living there. at least In texas you can go to the store and get water for a dollar or less. There a water bottle is like 5 bucks. and store bought food that is not hunted down is crazy inflated because it is all flown in. 40 bucks for diapers, 30-40 bucks for a pack of 30 water bottles, 20 bucks for a bag of flour. dont even wanna think about protein powder prices.

5:44 - That is a 15 yard penalty for kick catch interference. NFHS rule book says that the ball must go 10 yards AND be touched by a member of the receiving team, or hit the ground before it can be recovered.

The penalty is kick catch interference, The receiving team would have the choice of 15 yards and rekick or possession at the spot of first touching. Illegal touching is Rule 7-5-13 specifically deals with a pass. "An Ineligible A (offensive) player has illegally touched a forward pass if he bats, muffs, or catches a legal forward pass, unless the pass has first been touched by B."

1. It's not a clarification, it's a rule. 2. If people don't know the rules then on Friday nights I get yelled at about "Tackle Boxes" or "Halo Rules" or "Un-catchable Passes." There are 113 rule differences between high school and college football. People know what they see on Saturday or Sunday.

They totally need to get that field under a shelter man. There are some super simple yet extreme winter durable aerodynamic mini domes. Then they are totally set. And it's so doable even there. Why hasn't the town got together and make er happen?
