why didn't he have a gun or a dog in his house-if he knew there were jealous criminals where his family lived? With the money he had, he should have hired an armed professional ecurity team or bodyguard to protect his home and family when he was away at his career...Why didn't he consult someone from his team, or the police department? He invited trouble by 1; welcoming shitbags into his home, and B; showing off his wealth to them. He failed his family in multiple ways in this incident.
@lovellnebraska2224

He didn’t show off his wealth. They saw him giving money to his family. He shouldn’t have to have hired a security team nor have owned a gun. He lived in a safe neighborhood, he was aware there were intruders in his house, he did not fail his family. They survived, he died. Show some respect.

@@lovellnebraska2224 if he had someone try to break into your house like a week before you think you would be a little more prepared than a machete. None of it is his fault because people are shitbags and greedy. Just a horrible situation, if he did have a gun, he could have maybe died or scared them off and killed a couple of them. A machete will never win against criminals with guns

With the concussion crisis, I don't have ESPN or the NFL network, and I boycott title sponsors of college bowl games, e.g.: Capitol One, Outback Steakhouse, Quick Lane oil change, Tostidos, Tax Slayer, and Buffalo Wild Wings. I also send them emails telling them WHY I'm boycotting them. The NFL gets almost ALL of their talent from NCAA schools. If we cut off the flow, they'll be gone in less than ten years. And, speaking of that: perhaps we can raise money to give those students accepted to Universities like Alabama, Clemson and LSU ten grand to go somewhere Else.

About every other month Sean pops into my head. I was in 7th grade when Sean passed. Going into Middle School Football I would put helmet stickers on cleats with the #21 sharpied on them. Playing with only him in madden yelling "Sean Taylor with another int" or "Sean Taylor all the way!". After his passing an the stories that came out made me love Sean even more. Being so young I would know the impact until later in my life. He's the reason why I only wanted to play in the secondary going threw High School. I never tell anyone this, but when work gets rough or I need an extra push I like to think how Sean would do things. Going the extra mile to see his family every chance he got. When I have children I want to show them Sean's story. If my kids have a dream, I want to be the father that pushes them to follow there dream like Sean's father did. Hands down my biggest roll model. It still gets me mad that his life was cut short. I don't care what every else think I put him in the #1 safety spot above Reed, Polamalu, and Dawkins. I think we all know that Sean would have just unimaginable numbers. Rest Easy Sean, I will never let you be forgotten. Message to Sean Sean you are my hero, you push be, you make me strive, you show how life should be lived, you have my back. Ill root for your little brother, ill prayer for your brother and family. You will never know how many hearts you have touched. Love you Brother

True that man he was a freak at both safety positions FS or SS he was probably the best pure athlete at the position the sport has ever seen!! And probably the best Fs/Ss to ever play the game! We will never see another player like him again he was one in a million just hate him loosing his life snubbed HOF talks away because if he would have stayed in the league he would have broke every record at the DB positions period! He was a man amongst boys from high school through his 3 seasons in the Nfl. And when u got now 2 HOF teammates from the U saying the same thing about Taylor in Ray Lewis and Ed Reed that has to be the Truest definition of a Defensive Legend 🙌🙌. Sad he didn’t play long enough to be in the HOF but he is or would have been most worthy of it!

I remember I was a Junior in high school in '07 when he died. The next day I wore my 'R' Redskins hat and I remember the principal asking me to take my hat off in school, but I said it was to remember Sean Taylor and he actually let me wear it the entire day (I went to a school in Baltimore, so I was the only 'Skins fan there). He was my favorite Safety no doubt. It was amazing to see him even lined up as LB occasionally some games. One of the last great Redskins moments in the past 15 years was when the team managed to win 5 straight and sneak in the playoffs. Didn't do much when they got there, but that streak was for Sean, no doubt. I still enjoy using him the old Madden games I play. R.I.P. #36 #21
