They forced Abramovic to sell Chelsea in 2022 to a new owner which they will never refer to. 2022/23 and 2023/24 d new owners started building a new team after sacking nearly all d players and all members of management including d Coach. They thought with Abrahamic out of Chelsea, it will be extremely difficult for Chelsea to come back to compete for trophies. They were socked to see Chelsea finishing 6th to qualify for UEFA Europa League 2023/24 and this season they are fighting for EPL title. If care is not taken, some of d English pundits may develop High Blood Pressure. In 2015, Mourinho won EPL title for Chelsea, In 2017, Conte won EPL title for Chelsea, I think in 2018 Sarri won FA cup and 2019 won Europa League all for Chelsea, in 2021, Tuchel won UEFA Champion league and Super Cup and in 2022, Chelsea won Club World Cup all by Tuchel. We are in 2024 and they have forgotten these great achievements.They thought d selling of Chelsea by Abramovic in 2022 would end d club for a very long time. They are disappointed.The only club that won titles this period is Man City. Man U, Arsenal and Liverpool has not won anything like Chelsea during d period of Chelsea new ownership of d club. The English pundits knows but they are pretending.

@@samsonolanrewaju5527 let me simplify my explanation for you, out of all those trophies won by Chelsea, how many of the current squad players were there and won anything?.... that's why the pundits are giving Liverpool the edge coz most of their players have recently won either the league or UCL so they have some experience.According to them also they are putting arsenal as slight favourites over Chelsea coz of their performance last season,a seemingly averagely matured squad and a coach who has slightly moulded a team... their reasons for putting Chelsea third is the averagely young squad,new coach and a work in progress, that is not to say they can't win it this year, it's their own assessment.

Conte’s team won it two seasons prior with mourinho. Palmer is the only current player to have been in an epl winning squad as far as I can think. Lavia never made a senior appearance for city and he’s the only other.

The difference being that conte had won serie A many times and inherited a team full of serial winners. Mourinho had won it already with Chelsea and inherited a team of serial winners. Apart from the aforementioned Palmer, Fernandez and Cucurella, I can’t think off the top of my head of any other players who have won much of anything. Sancho has a couple of domestic cups. And not only has the manager no titles at the highest level, he doesn’t even have any experience at the top level. The only comparable scenario is Leicester who had less talent, a more experienced squad and more experienced manager.

Chelsea has a good chance by virtue of not being involved in the Champions league so they can rest their players as opposed to their rivals who will have to field their starters twice a week and will be more susceptible to injuries or at least less rest time between prem games because Chelsea's bench is deeper than Arsenal and maybe in even Livpool....but the deciding factor may be the January transfer. If Arsenal buy a striker or maybe even Liverpool ...Chelsea might be forced to buy an experienced defender to counter in order to keep up...this is a very interesting League competition since Man City has dropped form.

This Chelsea team is improving. They are not the finished product and Arne Slot, an actual coach, said they dominated liverpool at Anfield. Even if chelsea lose every game against the teams at the top namely arsenal, liverpool and city, that will be 18 points dropped for the season. They have already drawn against arsenal in a very much even game, lost to city and liverpool in first legs. Not to mention these fools who are talking down their defense which has conceded less than city and more than only liverpool and arsenal. So an improving team with a relatively low number of goals conceded, most goals scored and best goal difference in the league so far has no chance according to Owen. Jeez. If you're being honest with yourself, it's a long shot for Chelsea to finish top. Single digit % chance. Simply put, that squad is too inexperienced at the back. Again, specifically at the back. There is obviously enough quality up top & midpark today, to make a decent run, however our current backline is complete "meh". No team has ever won the prem conceding at this current pace, as we're sitting at 19 GA, probably finishing around 40-45+ GA by the end of May. No team has won it conceding at that rate. The title under Conte, we finished at 33 GA while playing a back 5 with superior CBs to what we have now. We are 100% going to score 90+ goals, but that means fuck all when you inevitably concede in crucial games. If Maresca can get the back sorted over the next 30 days, maybe.
