All Osimhen did was prove that he's a trouble maker and not worth the hassle. If he really isn't greedy and actually wants to be at Chelsea than I don't see how he could decline what we offered, especially when considering that his wages go up if he performs well. He preferred possibly sitting on the side line until January over joining us ffs. If that's not the case then why didn't he accept our offer and back himself to increase his wages? NOBODY can convince me that he actually wants to be at Chelsea. He just wants to be at ANY big European club that offers him enough money. Imo i feel chelsea didnt want to sign osimhen. If you look how chelsea do deals under this new board its so obvious they really didnt put in much effort. Look how fixated they were for enzo,caicedo,mudryk,fofana,lavia. Most of them were overpriced but they still went ahead with it. But in osimhen case they say its wage bill. Really hard to pick a CF number 9 from those two you just mentioned. Personally I always liked Mikel, so the agent work is interesting. Will he succeed? Time will tell. gyokeres has insane stats but am yet to watch him play with Sporting. Wandering which number 9 would suit Chelsea is a thankless task, hopefully the sporting directors get it right.

Mikel is obviously playing it safe with his critic of the club and with his involvement as a club ambassador/"agent" there is only that much he can speak on. I can tell you from the standpoint of Osimhen, he really did and still wants to come to Chelsea. It is true that Osimhen is currently not pleased with Roberto Calenda for the manner in which he approached the inner conversations between Napoli and Chelsea. The reason for Osimhen extending his contract and demanding a change in his sell-on clause is predominantly based on what he hopes will happen in January and Chelsea is definitely in the mix of this.

Right, on the salary, our best player (Cole Palmer) doesn't even earn 150k a week why would we give Osimhen a minimum of 200k? Why do I think Victor Gyökeres will work? He is the one in hot form right now, not Osimhen, he doesn't come from the italian league, the last time we had succes with italian league strikers were before the Roman Abramovich era and since then, the likes of Higuain and Lukaku still haunts me and also Victor Gyökeres isn't historically injury prone, the last two seasons has caused massive trauma when it comes to injuries. The final thing is that if we get Osimhen then come the winter break and the African international competitions we will lose both of our strikers at the same time, I would prefer to have at least one of our preferred strikers at such a time. I'm a massive fan of every player in the early Roman era and the likes of Drogba, Mikel and Essien are some of my favorites even if I could only watch highlights of them. But the time and place isn't right for Osimhen any longer, this smells to much of Koulibaly to me and I for one think that Napoli is to be blamed for most of the issues caused in this deal to collapse. P.S. I'm not one of those haters who won't support my players and my club, if Osimhen or anybody else joins the club then I will support them 'till the end.

Osimhen is above average as a striker but he is not world class superstar yet. His Afcon performance was so so poor not worth 100Mill. Many many many fans and content creators were swearing and fuming when Chelsea were linked to Victor Gyökeres for 80Mill and the fan base broke down on who is this guy and now they want Chelsea to pay over 100Mill for him. This makes no sense!! His also not worth 100Million. Both players only scored over 20 goals once. Both are above average but not superstars. There are many many many one season wonders Enzo Fernandez is one of them at the moment. So 100Million should only be after 3 seasons of the same performance. We basically agreed the wage and transfer fee, but just lacked time. That's then totally on the club hierarchy, be it Mikel's new friend Paul Winstanely or anyone else. Because we had the whole window (multiple months) to agree personal terms and the transfer fee was not an issue with us. This wasn't a panic buy. It was our PRIMARY target. We bottled it. Or Mikel could be lying, but I'm in no place to be accusing anyone of that. So I'll keep reiterating we bottled it. I can see us going for Osimhen again in future, but hope we won't need it.
