Footloose: The Musical - Bella Vista High School

When, Rock N' Roll is banned in the small town of Bomont after an accident involving the death of four teenagers, along comes Ren McCormack, a young, hotheaded boy from Chicago, who has a passion for dancing. Outraged by the law against dancing, he decides to try and fix things and make things right. Despite his best efforts, it seems as though nothing is going his way. Decent performance, though it seemed to lack energy throughout most of the beginning of act 1. I got the vibe that everyone was bored while preforming. The 2nd act was much more amped up in energy, and that finale was great!

That whole speech Ren gives at the townhall was ruined by the made up rap that was substituted. Lackluster performances by most in the cast.

That's a valid criticism. I agree; I wish Ren had done his monologue instead. It's much more powerful and believable. Are there any performances in particular that stood out to you? My personal favorite is Reverend Shaw.

@@bradrichardson4082 i agree with you about Rev. Shaw, I've just been cast as Vi so was watching to see how I could play my role but he really is so talented!

Brad Richardson Chucks whole “tough guy” thing was sorta cartoonish the way he did it, Lyle and Travis just seemed uninterested.
