I loved that surprise inclusion of Hear My Voice--it fit extremely well, and I never would have thought of it. And yeah, the parallels between 86-EIGHTYSIX and Attack on Titan are surprisingly noticeable. The whole "mostly mindless xenocidal force overwhelming the conventional forces of humanity that was created by a despotic royal family and unleashed on the world as the dying wish of a complete monster of a king. The people at the forefront of trying to defeat this enemy is a group of soldiers who fight to the end despite the seemingly suicidal odds and having little (if any) hope of a future even if they somehow win. Hell, the Warriors are even treated like weapons with specific, limited lifespans used for selfish ends by their racist superiors. You've even got a whole huge plot point about a secret survivor of the royal blood line being a potential key to changing the entire conflict by reaching a specific set of conditions to suddenly gain control over the entire overwhelming, inhuman force threatening the world (ironically, in reverse--in AoT, the key is used to start the true apocalypse, while in 86, the key intends to end the apocalypse forever).
