Very interesting. I'm currently using running shoes, but found myself in need to change them because the grip is not as good. Running somewhat regularly half a marathon must have worn them out + dancing did it's thing too. I'll gladly use this video as a reference point as I investigate further Also, yes. Video about shin protection would be amazing. I don't think people talk about below belt level protection unfortunately :/

Thank you for the shoe review! I've mostly used a converse high-top knock-off, which allows the shin guard to overlap from above, instead of pushed into the shoe. As I've gotten older though, I need more support, so I appreciate you taking the time to break some shoe types down!

What type of shin guards are those? Can you mention a brand name or type? It's hard to tell, do they have straps that go around the foot? Any information you can give so that I will know what to look for would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for this video.

Back of the sole on my Adidas pair started detaching after 5 months. I glued it back with super glue and I'm still using them a couple of months later.

Timely as my current shoes are dying. People at my club tend to recommend squash shoes or tennis shoes as they are designed for all the lateral forces that you put through your feet doing HEMA.

Just bought the adidas and they arrived with the bottom sole flapping off the heel. I figured it was a piece of trash shoe and I returned it. I’m gonna probably try the asics matflex 7’s. See how they work, I don’t trust the shoe to be good quality if it arrived already breaking apart.

I like barefoot style shoes, like Vivobarefoot or something similar. The ability to feel the ground and the foot to perform anatomically is important.
