Oh gosh this method of measuring is amazing! Wish you could do one for Eastern woodlands front seam moccasins.

thank you so much. I have gone through a great many videos to find how to make a pattern for moccasins. this is invaluable to me I have 4 sons 2 sons in law and 3 grandsons all with large size 12 - 1 ex large feet. just finding footwear to fit is hard and expensive this is great. I can make them now.

Easy to comprehend.

Thank you so much for showing us how to do this. I have drawn my pattern and cut a pair of trial moccasins from a thick, woven fabric. When I add a liner to them (as I will with my mukluks once I get to them), they are much too tight. Should I be adding ease to this pattern, or does leather react differently from woven fabrics? Thank you!

question: My big toe is longer than my other toes, do I go 3/4th from every toe and have an uneven stencil or do I go 1/2 on the big toe and 1'' on every other toe to have an even stencil?

+Portage College - I'd love to take a class, but... live in Moosonee, ON. I'm not sure what to do with the cuff part of your pattern, but I think I'll just leave it off, and get into trying! Thanks!
