That was an absolute embarrassment. I didn’t expect much playing against Germany as the hosts but my god the performance was atrocious, need to be starting gilmour to have a bit more composure in the middle of the park and try and keep the ball better and build through phases like we have been doing instead of booting it long. The first touch and awareness of the players was way off too so hopefully they can get a grip and give a good account of themselves in our next two games. BTW was class to see you and smiv on the same video love both your videos.

The Scotland match last night followed exactly the same pattern as the Bayern Munich v Aberdeen match at the Allianz in 2008. Bayern went 4-0 up, Aberdeen got a late consolation goal and then Bayern scored an even later goal to make it 5-1, and so it went for Germany v Scotland last night. As soon as we scored to make it 4-1 I was thinking that Germany would score another and it would be 5-1 in the end. To be honest I wasn't expecting much against a Germany team who will be one of the favourites to win the whole tournament, it's just a real shame we capitulated so badly. We surely have to be better in the next two games.

...as a German living in Scotland, I kept fingers crossed for both teams, but alas, it did go badly for the Sco'ish... not yet all is lost... there will be better days, and they may still go through to round 2 - I hold the vision. I’m lucky or unlucky enough to have been around to support Scotland in the World Cup in Argentina , the 2 “ easy games” we bombed against giants Peru and Iran that meant we had to beat Holland the hard team by 3 clear goals to keep going, at one stage we were beating Holland 3-1 , we beat them 3-2 and went out while Holland went all the way to the World Cup final with host Argentina , so you never know 😉

It's not the scoreline that irks me. It's the negative tactics from the kick-off. it's the inability to implement a Plan B when Plan A was obviously not working. Its the gutless and spineless manner in which we capitulated. Every German who received a pass had a minimum 5yrds space/time to do with the ball what he pleased. Zero shots at goal. Zero corners won, and the lowest tackle count since records began. These startled rabbits ain't fit to wear Scotland blue.
