@@chrisserong4966 There is a difference between recruiting and drafting. The players they are getting as 18yo's are not developing. Getting players through trade and free agency is different, you already know what you are getting but drafting requires both talent identification and player development which from the facts of the last 6 years is failing. The problem comes when Daicos is in his prime he will have no one around him in theirs because the 18-24 age bracket is thin, on top of that the only players that have true trade value are De Goey, Daicos bros, Moore, Hill, Quaynor and maybe Maynard. Anyone else you'd be lucky to get a 3rd rounder for because the list is full of 30+ and a bunch of sparsely used young players.

Ginni himself said he’s gotten more freedom in the Hawks system than he did playing at Collingwood. He’s playing further up the ground and being more defensive. Can’t really compare Ginni to Schulz output, because he wouldn’t be giving the Pies what he’s doing right now at Hawthorn. He’d be the same play deep, get 5-8 touches and snag a goal or two type he was 2021-23

Stephenson wasn't a miss as a draft pick, literally won the rising star and was a key player in a side that made the Grand Final in 2018. The issue seems to have been player dev from then on (more on coaches than whoever drafted him).

honestly I have Hawks miles ahead of Geelong for Baz. Hawks are on the rise, they aren't just promising it, they are showing everyone the potential. Geelong have a very attractive position, with continued and consistent success, but the only problem with continued and consistent success is it works until it doesn't. Recent history says Geelong are better. But the further you go back, the less convincing it is.

What's a disaster is that Kane doesn't understand how draft picks work. It's not the picks you trade, it's the players you get. Collingwood got Schultz to strengthen the forward line, it's been decimated by injuries. Schultz is an upgrade from Ginnivan. Ginnivan would have played half the games if he was still at Collingwood. They don't need a first round pick when they have a F/S pick = to a first round pick.

Shows pictures from Graham Wright's family. Why are you showing pictures of his family on national television? GAGF. 2. Contrasting vision of Fly from Q1 to Q4 in the same game "This is earlier in the year". 3. The list of Collingwoods ageing midfielders including Hoskin-Elliot, who is not a midfielder. 4. "De Goey is still a tease, apart from being premiership player who had a good prelim final last year". 5. "Schultz is having way less impact that Ginnivan this year, apart from a few stats like goals and goal assists." That last one is just the icing on this turd of a footy analysis show where nobody except Matthew Lloyd gives a crap about the game.

Ginnivan is a weird unit, not a team player and a bit dirty. He didn't fit the culture, so they'd regret keeping him if they had. He seems to be a bit of a twit so I doubt Collingwood is sad to see him go. They were really keen to get rid of him and I think even the Hawks are a bit frustrated with his carrying on. Those sorts of players can wreck locker rooms because they think their talent excuses being a goose.
