Just a couple little things to point out - one is that making a fireplace out if rocks is a bad idea - they can EXPLODE from heat qnd not only ruin the whole thing, but injure you. Two is that when making flimsy roofs like that, depending where you are, you might need to set up spikes on the hill around the roof, or you can find one of the bigger wild animals crashing through your roof... You do NOT want a bear or wolf to crash on you when you're in there, maybe sleeping! Even a deer or moose isnt great to have fall on you. And heck, even a hiking person can fall through if they don't see it's a house from the other side! So yeah, just a bit of advice for you and maybe some others who want to do this

Interesting video. Curious where the majority of the meals came from? We saw a meal of bread shared with the dog. Some walnuts, and some berries. Oddly the walnuts were already de-husked when they were found. Anyone who has actually harvested walnuts knows they drop from the tree in round greenish husks that need to be removed to get to the walnut that was shown being found under the leaves. I actually found the video fun to watch, but I think it's unlikely the majority of the food came from the forest. Anyone who has spent anywhere near 1 year living in the wild knows it takes a lot of food to maintain good health for 1 person and a dog. The video didn't show anything approaching that level. :)

I’m sure he washed them in like a creek, or lake, perhaps with rain water possibly… it is extremely narrow minded to just make an assumption based only on your own perception, with out first gathering information on a specific topic that you have felt the need to express here with with such ignorance lacking of any true class or moral for your fellow man. For example any real outdoorsy person would be better of in the wild to be more concerned about having quality or quantity, when it’s come to survival clothes they are actually very, very expensive and truly important. So if said person is a well educated person with a lot real experiences in the outdoors, then they will do just fine with having only a set or two of the right clothes, fyi the outdoors clothing that is available….well they can at times all look basically the same, more attention is payed to function over what’s fashionable. There is so much more to survive in the wilderness that so many people just seem to have forgotten about or are unaware about, so when it comes to what we truly need, Clothing or better yet cheap quality clothing …well it can be the reason that they actually survive or do not make it in the wildest , harshest at times extreme circumstances of mother earths environmental conditions and ever changing climate, so any survivalist would have took an incredibly large amount of time, a considerable amount of money, and a serious effort to make sure they have these vital resources such as clothing taken care of. It’s sad some people are just to focused on being the one to just go around spreading hate and negativity to, and about other people actually doing something different or difficult in life, and be sitting behind a keyboard so willing to be a part of the problem of stupidity in the world, and nor do not have any real experiences with actually doing whatever they feel the need to make an effort to negatively comment their obviously wrong opinions lacking in common sense and 100% ignorant to the fact that us as humans do find a way around these types of things when faced with the challenges that come in survival situations , and as this world grows worse and worse by the days we have been seeing lately, you and many others are going wish you would maybe have done your own research or perhaps inquired instead leaving a random person doing more then you a very ridiculously ignorant comment about what you assume showing not that we as humans are in fact appear to be made not all equally as well as others.

Absolutely love this hobbit house. Such craftsmanship and skill to build such a great shelter. My only one very small criticism Is painting the stones green. I much preferred the more natural look and thought painting them bright green made it look too visible, especially in the snow ( surely you’d want to blend in to the background) However, a fantastic shelter, great furniture and even somewhere to wash and keep clean. Ingenious.

He didn't find treasure. If he truly found those objects, they would be grave goods or offerings, either way they would have been archeological finds, that he treated very roughly, not only that , they would not be his, they would belong to his country. He would need to turn them in to his county's antiquities department.He acted like he found that kind of stuff everyday. I would like to believe he found it, but I've seen people fake finding things many times. It's terrible. I hope that's not the case here. But I also hope he never finds such things again, because he took no care with the items he found , so it leads me to believe he just doesn't care about that kind of thing and I would hate to see archaeological items tossed around like garbage.

@finsfinst42746 ай бұрын
