I thought like Hala did but when I was on that trajectory I realized the true goals of the US and Israel I chose to not work for the government. As an International relations student I felt it was important to meet people from the countries I could work with and I was so disheartened by the difference between reality and what I was being taught that I became an activist for human rights. It has meant a life of poverty but a life without shame.

You are correct. This is the reason why the Lord said: Revelation 13:16-17 KJV And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: [17] And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. what I like to compare it to is whether you've ever seen a scene in any movie of hungry people being fed by scattering food on the ground, and whether that was supposed to be a humanitarian effort or a gesture of disrespect... just watch any video of the airdropped stuff on the ground rather than floating majestically in the sky. even when they don't hit anyone or anything and don't drown people in parachute tangles, scattering food aid around like one would feed chickens is inherently far more degrading than organised handouts (which are already a degrading experience in comparison to working and earning a decent income that has been imposed for decades by economic sabotage in blockade and b°mbings) because they remove all checks on distribution bein determined by running and fighting.

@deanjones2525 Is this book prophecy? Or is it prescription? After all, it was approved by a previous failing, slavery-based empire that turned into the "universal" church. That imperial church continues to influence human affairs, not benevolently. Paul gives a pretty good description of an imperial structure whether political or religious. That's imprinted hundreds of human generations in "the body" to be compliant to the "the head." So there's that.

I know, tell me about it. That's a tough one for sure. Actually, I can't even begin to put into words how morally repulsive it is to listen a woman like this, put the spotlight on herself, when all she ever did was do the devil's work, for her entire adult life as she said herself, to fulfill her own personal ambitions. And the entire purpose of this bizarre interview is for her to personally defend her own moral existence, purely on her own say so as the depth or sincerity of her good intentions. And the only reason she needs to defend herself and tell us what we already know about American foreign policy, and how she purportedly fought against it, is because she made a public announcement and asked for the spotlight to be put on her. So yeah, it probably was a hard decision.
@smulin01
@smulin01 2 ай бұрын
Give credit where credit is due, at least she had the moral courage to resign. It's not always that you have to fight for change from the outside sometimes you can fight for change from within the system. When you attack people like this then you make it harder for others to do the same. You made a lot of assumptions judgement about her without even knowing her. The question is, what have you done to make the change that is needed that super cedes what she has done. Be part of the solution not the problem.
@user-zh1th8sz2l
@user-zh1th8sz2l 2 ай бұрын
@@smulin01 There's no credit due. She obviously resigned to save her own skin like a rat deserting the proverbial sinking ship. I don't know how naive one would have to be to think otherwise. And she appears to be milking her plight, making all the talk show and podcast rounds that will have her....
@smulin01
@smulin01 2 ай бұрын
@@user-zh1th8sz2l She did make a difference, she joined the state department, advocated for change in policy and eventually resigned when she realized that her advice and advocacy was falling on deaf ears. I don't know how naive one would have to be to think otherwise. As you can see, I would say 99% of the commentators on here are appreciative and supportive of her. By resigning she is now able to speak freely and inform the rest of the world of what is going on inside the government and amplify the plight of the Palestinian people. Would you have rather her to not resign and just go on with her career in silence. So, the question you need to ask yourself is that what do you know that the rest of the majority of people on here supporting her don't? Right now, you are like the US using its veto against a ceasefire when the rest of the world is calling for a ceasefire.

It is called the "Jewish onslaught " wherby well organized, well funded Jewish groups pull all the strings to smear, vilify, shame, and destroy their fellow Americans who had the temerity to stand up against this genocide. Essentially, they are willing to destroy the lives of any American who dares criticize a foreign country. And the media act so shocked when incidents of Antisemitism rise at times like this. Perhaps the antisemitic feeling arise from people who were attacked and publicly destroyed by Jewish groups.

"I don't believe that the US is trying to commit ethnic cleansing and genocide in Gaza; I think they are willfully enabling it." With all due respect, and I respect and admire Hala Rharrit immensely - that's a distinction without a difference. And in the next sentence - "I don't think it's the intention of the [US] government to commit it, but I think without us, and our support, more specifically, our military support, which has been unconditional, practically, despite all of this evidence, is allowing Netanyahu's government to do what they're doing" - she repeats once again that same distinction without a difference. And frankly, that's a bit of an insult to the audience's intelligence. A brief disappointing moment in an otherwise excellent interview.

And nothing that happened before it matters.” Pointing at the third and final dot, Biden asked yet again, “What’s this?”. “This dot,” said Netanyahu, “represents what Germany did from 1941-1945, it’s why Israel exists today. I believe there is a considerable risk that Israel may choose to fight Hezbollah with low-yield neutron bombs. The blast from these devices would cause devastation to the Hezbollah fighters; however, the lethal radiation would clear within approximately ten days, although the produced contaminants will have to be cleaned up as they will remain active for a further ten years. The timeline will be in the autumn, as the prevailing winds will blow any radioactive material away from Israel. This would explain two things: firstly, Israel's clearance of its northern population and secondly, its keenness to attack Lebanon.

I congratulate her for her decision, especially since Blinken embraced Bibi as a "Jew". At the 20:30 point, having a job to jump to must have been a key factor in resignation since this was a family decision.

The fact that she was so naive at such a high position until reality literally smacked her in the face is amazing and speaks to the bubble these people live in.

l must have to say it's so uplifting to hear this young woman speaking truth to power. God/Allah bless her with a long blessed life. If all people had this courage, such atrocities would never happen. Bravo People really undersell how hard it is to make that decision.

Hala, i am glad you saw the light. Having said that, how did you feel about your role in yemen? The us was complicit in the criminal bombing and blockade of yhe yemenis. The state department gives a soft look to the brutal acts of the us imperial project and is a means of further solidifying it. I hope you see that some day.

I’m sorry Hala that you had to resign, but your courage and moral compass are to be admired and appreciated. Our government has shown truly its colors as a colonial military industrial congressional complex, only concerned with making money and not diplomacy. We all wish you the best in whatever you choose to do. May you find happiness and peace in your professional and personal paths.

America enculturated a blank about Islam so as to psychologically prepare this to happen. I was never Muslim, but I studied it in school and overcame a lot of pain from its poetry and insights. I almost made it to the end of this. The situation is so wounding.

Well, most amerikkkans are living with a ton of cognitive dissonance. If not, we’d all self-immolate and give most of the land back to the natives and everything else to the Afrikans who want to stay. We wade through centuries of blood and corpses everyday, in every context, and continue to live undisturbed while our government continues to be the largest purveyors of terror, murder, rape, and torture in the history of the planet … so that things remain profitable just a liiiiiiiitle bit longer. So I think this poor woman can be excused. At least she did the right thing, unlike 99.99999999999% of us cowards

And the United States has lied, buried the complete truth, and pretended the Palestinians are incapable of peace and Israelis are "peaceful" that entire time. I was well into adulthood when I found out the truth. My mother was in her 70s. The US puts out propaganda, not facts. Not everybody figures that out.

This was so important for me to watch. To see an official in the US State Department express the same frustration and sadness as those of us on the 'outside' confirms how difficult it is to effect change. I keep thinking 'maybe if I do this or that things would change' but it's pretty apparent that change is being blocked on several levels.
