I'm quite certain that Good Bad Ugly is set during the Civil War, that's before the two dollars films. Few things suggest this, such as Eastwood using the Colt SAA (designed after the war) and the scene near the end where he first obtains his iconic poncho.

Eastwood killed the other guy in the last movie, the last one was last, not before the 2 others.
@Mirongawaritane8 жыл бұрын
The three movies were filmed in the sequence "A Fistful of Dollars" (1964) then "For A Few Dollars More" (1965) and last "The Good The Bad and The Ugly" (1966) but the historiacl time in which they are set is clearly the reverse, "The Good The Bad and The Ugly" is the first and "A Fistfull of Dollars" last. As for killing "the other guy", I hope Clint Easwood didn't kill anyone. The character he plays kills many, among them Sentenza aka Angel Eyes, played by Lee van Cleef, in The Good The Bad and The Ugly. In For A Few Dollars More, Clint Eastwood's character teams up with Colonel Mortimer who is played by Lee van Cleef. But Colonel Mortimer is not Sentenza ! Actors don't play the same character in each film they're in ! Actually even though Clint Eastwood looks and acts the same in all three movies, I'm not sure that he is the same person in each of them.
@RW4X4X30068 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I don't believe Leone set out to create a 'trilogy' in the true sense. It's just come about that way over the years, via marketing. He made a lot of other films during he same time frame, with different actors.
@charlesmartin11213 жыл бұрын
Great scene. But the sequel to this film should be a "A Few Dollars Less." Because the Clint Eastwood character can't pack for shit. At least two of those bodies are going to fall out of the cart not a mile down the road.
