I really love this film I just watched this last night. The authenticity and the whole unfabricated view of this lifestyle and the journey's that had to be taken was so profoundly Beautiful, therefore I really think this should be made into a reality tv show. I mean the hell with the 16 and pregnant, and teen moms show. We want more,we want to follow her journey, and maybe find some more people who are willing to participate in doing more films like this. From not just the lower class, but from all walks of life, that the world need more transparency with.We need updates on "Boonie" her children and her kids father etc. Yall kinda left us hanging in the end ...so just pick it back up !!God Bless you all

They need to have that boy sit his butt down. When me and my siblings were children my mom has ya in check, we were so behaved, so him being a child is no excuse.

Excellent documentary, but I can't believe Boonie didn't get an abortion when she found out she was pregnant. Lost a lot of respect for her at that point in the film.

You lost respect for a child who chose what the outcome of HER body would be !? The hell... So it’s your body when it comes to telling lawmakers you have a right to abortion but not your body when it comes to choosing to give birth ? I think we all were disappointed when she got pregnant, but I RESPECT her fight ! Just by dissecting the psychological trauma of these youth it’s easy for me to see that perhaps giving life feels like the only reason TO continue living. It’s the only sense of purpose one may have or source of love and worthiness . That’s a SAD existence for black girls. If you want to have a discussion about why she kept her baby let’s GO THERE and talk about that. I’m sick of people treating abortion like a “black population control “ remedy. There are many great people in this world who have climbed out the barrels of poverty including myself and the woman who birthed me . I RESPECT her decision to bring me into this world and raise me to the best she could PERIOD .

Seamus Gaelic Pretty sure she was able to overcome the loss of respect YOU had for HER for NOT having an ABORTION. You sound ridiculous. ✌️

Arjana B. I just watched this film on Starz I was in the same boat as you I am from Detroit I got pregnant at 17 had a daughter at 18 had another right after, that was 21 years ago I’m now 39 I’m doing great now. I’m now married, I don’t want to say how much I make on here but I am in the top 1 percentile for my age from Detroit. I found what changed my life was getting out of Detroit, sometimes you have to get away from that negative environment. I wish you and your children great success. You can have anything you want. Just love yourself and know that your thoughts create your world. 💕. Another thing that changed my world I started writing down what I wanted for my life and it slowly started happening. If I can ever help in anyway please reach out. I truly mean that.

That was very irresponsible of her to have kids, not saying abortion was an option, but she should have been more responsible.
