Sarah, you really should have been offered an endometrial ablation (laser removal of uterine lining under general anaesthetic), given your history of heavy periods. It's still worth trying to get it now, though you might be told that it's not worth it, being so close to the menopause. As for nightshirts - I buy the ones with buttons all the way down the front. That way when I start to overheat, I can undo them and cool down without getting cold arms. If I succumb to buying a cute nightshirt without buttons, I end up taking it off then, once cooled, putting it back on - often several times a night. Anyway, thanks for sharing the clips. I hope that you get an endometrial ablation - it's worked for all the ladies I know that's had it (bar one lady who didn't see any improvement). It's changed their lives.

They don't offer endo ablation where I live unless you need blood (not iron) transfusions for keeping up with heavy period induced severe anaemia. .... Even if you paid every cent for the ablation/short GA privately yourself. No such thing as "offer" in every country. I don't know how easy UK offers. ? My continent is extremely stingy with these kinds of offers as soon as there is a slightest risk and indication not hefty enough (aka almost dies from it🎉🙈. The only indication for endo ablation)

@@michellec3100 I said that Sarah should have been offered the endometrial ablation as she's in the UK, like myself and the number of ladies that I know directly (or indirectly, through a friend who had it successfully done). I don't know everyone's medical details about the reason why they were offered it, but for the ones I do know, they had a diagnosis of heavy periods over a long time or endometriosis. Every one of them had to have 'completed their families' before they could be offered treatment. The only thing I will say is that all of the ladies were treated well before the Covid pandemic and, due to high demand on the NHS for treatment atm, they might be restricting treatment. I hope that the NHS isn't restricting the use of endometrial ablation, as (bar the one lady it didn't work for) it changed the lives of the ladies I know of for the better. As Sarah seems to have a fairly long history of very heavy periods and she had no intention of ever having a family, it's a terrible shame that she wasn't offered endometrial ablation. It's got a fast recovery time and it would have changed her life for the better. Btw, I'm really sorry that you don't have access (bar in exceptional circumstances) to endometrial ablation on your continent. So many women must be suffering unnecessarily.
