For BD: Seiko 6139-6009 Notch/Resist restoration

Full restoration of a N. American Notch/Resist Seiko 6139-6009. Twists include: bad date finger, incorrect crown, bad main sweep.
PSA: This video contains very little editing and sub-optimal levels of sound due to losing my microphone cord, so if you can hear anything count that as a win. Even if that "anything" is tuneless humming. I did pump up the volume though. YMMV if you choose to blow part of your life on this. No Refunds. Enjoy!

I bought one of these in the summer of 1972 for $100. The salesman's come-on was it was manufactured and assembled totally by machine. I wore it through college, and it ran great. I reluctantly traded it four years later for my first quartz electric watch, and never saw another one like it. It was a great treat to see this old friend again.

It amazes me watching you disassemble a 6138 or 9 and how you instantly know what screw is in the wrong place just by looking at the head. I do love watching you tear these down and service them. It's truly an testament to your knowledge of these pieces. Once serviced and specific parts replace this will be a fine time piece.

Amazing work as usual Spencer. Wondering if you could explain a little bit about the reset action seen here at the end after the service (the slower kinda stepped reset back to zero as opposed to a hard snap). I know you’ve talked about it before but I can’t remember which video it was. Mainly curious if that makes doing a hard reset down from say 30 or 40 safer?

Big Bertha? Or the little two-tined poker? If it's the latter, I shouldn't be using it because it's the wrong tool for the job. It's for binocular restoration, which my dad and me used to do together for fun.
