Hey coach, love the idea behind your channel! Many channels be making videos for beginners but be teaching the ali shuffle on the get go 😂😂 Anyway, something that I always struggle with is the footwork when it comes to the jab. Now when I'm in my default fighting stance, my back foot is not completely flat on the floor, its on its toes with my heel up not on the floor, with that in mind how do I shoot the jab? Like, I have seen people say your back foot should stay 100% planted on the floor, and your front foot should twist with your hips, while others say your back foot should stay the way it is in your stance. Can you please explain further on the footwork when it comes to jabbing? I watched both of your jab videos and I'm still confused on the mechanics of the footwork when I jab

Hey man. Thank you. I'll hit you up tomorrow with a detailed response. I'll also make a separate video about it next week, maybe even bring my mentor in for some extra details. Thank you for the question 💪

@@otaieb48 Morning. Ok so, this is good question. It is important to know there are several types of jabs you can throw so, your foot position would often depend on what jab you are throwing. For example if you are to throw a power jab, you would take a step towards your opponent, so both your feet would leave the ground and end up a foot or so closer toward your opponent. Then you have a stab jab where you would typically leave your back foot (how much is debatable, but enough to keep good balance) on the ground and keep your distance so your base is away from your opponent while pointing your front foot forward, typically with this jab you would not turn your hips so much as you are facing side on and using the rotation in your shoulder and position from your front foot Much of the jab mechanics comes from the front shoulder movement and front leg movement. I know this may sound like a lot so I will make a video very soon regarding this and give you detailed explanation of foot placement and types jabs involved. Ultimately, I still have lots to learn so ill bring my mentor in and have him break it down a bit better. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rnPCZn6pfr-bbsU (5:29 in. Some more details Peace Thanks for the comment
