This is one of the many reasons I have issue with the movie His Only Son... I am NO literary scholar or linguist by ANY stretch. That being said, I heard begotten, meant from or through🤷🏻‍♀. but maybe it's one of those social media people you mentioned 🙊...

It's a silly topic. Leave it to the fools to lose themselves in. The Bible is thorough and redundant. If you are confused about a verse, look for the solution elsewhere in scripture.

What difference does it make? The letter kills but the Spirit gives life. If you find this verse difficult or unclear.. Then simply let clear verses dictate unclear verses. People who attack this verse and try to improve it or clarify it, or use it to make this or that claim about Jesus. They are following their own heart. Will you lean on your own understanding or will you let scripture interpret scripture. I personally would leave it translated as "begotten". Because it doesn't matter. Keep reading the Bible don't stop here.
