I love how simple your regimen is. Thank you, Samantha. I want to teach young girls with textured curly hair like ours, that have been adopted into families that do not know how to do their hair. Any advice would be appreciated.

Sam I live in South Carolina to get a knot out I pull my strings upward instead of down it works very easy instead of cutting your hair always pull the string upward

Wow, you are so diligent. You can grow some hair, girl! I remember awhile back you cutting your hair..I think because of thinning. It looks so healthy and strong here. Beautiful! Praise God. I recently had to get my hair cut after leaving my braids in too long. I had been using the aloe spray and other things. There was a lot of build up. I got so nervous when it came time to take it down. I was a bit depressed also, so I delayed and delayed some more till I reached 5mos. Oh I was so nervous, but I had to take it down. My plaits were abt your length maybe a few inches shorter. The problem was, at the root was major buildup. I used marshmallows extract or power and some other elder something mix hoping to have major slip. I was a wreck. I pleaded with the Lord to help me thru the takedown. I finally made it, but in a hurry and worry, at one point, I tore my hair. It was so tangled at the root. When I got it blown out, it was beyond my shoulders almost down to the upper mid back. Only it was severely broken. Very thin with one side showing thickness and the other see thru. I really wanted to convince someone to clip my ends and Dr. that portion up. I felt so attractive with it at that length. I felt lovely and I was happy. It felt like a crown of glory. It come camouflage easily in my opinion. After listening to a few hair stylist, I was worried that without a proper cut it would get more damaged. I went to my regular stylist and she was unwilling to cut around that area as I requested, concerned I'd have a botched cut. I didn't care abt it being even as I was planning to have it rebraided. I wasn't going to leave the braids in as long of course. She was unwilling, and I felt it was best in the moment, so I allowed her to cut my hair. I regretted it later. I was convinced the damaged portion could've been taken care of. Over the past few weeks, I've been sick over the cut. It seems so drastic to me. I truly enjoyed the length before and it was the longest my hair had grown. I was so disappointed, comparing before and pics of myself. Even just yesterday I did. Although, the cut was cute. It was a bob style. She left the front a little longer. I was still very disappointed. It's growing back. I am thrilled. Its been abt a month now. I'm doing better. Being more accepting and happy to see the growth happening. Before the cut, I sought possible measures to take to keep my hair. I had taken to KZbin, where a young lady who's hair looked like mine. She didn't cut hers but allowed it to grow back. What a novel idea, but would it truly work. Everyone on hair says, cut cut cut when the ends are damaged, end of story. I saw and heard comments like, " let it go Sis". "It's just hair" I showed the video to my stylist and she was unconvinced the girl didn't cut her hair. I'll share the video. I believe the girl. She was going to be my hero, only I was a bit afraid of causing more damage. So I gave in. What are your thoughts abt sparing healthy hair and cutting the damaged area as opposed to taking all the hair even healthy for the sake of it being even? If I felt confident cutting my own hair, I would've done just that. I wish I could share a pic of my hair before the cut. It was a lot like the girl's hair in the video. Seeing you and knowing partially your story in cutting your hair.. I am inspired. Thanks for sharing. Here's the video I was referring to: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sKimgGN8arB7mtE

Hi Sam it's me again when you taking down your hair when it's dry before cutting your all you have to do is moisturize the end with your butter then proceed taking your hair down and always always pull your hair upward instead of down out of that knot. You're doing a great job on KZbin and Instagram also I'm Google for me I have try all your remedies on my hair. I was suffering with alopecia I got so frustrated with my hair I kept going to these channels Karma and God kept showing me clover I started using it on my hair with some oil, my hair is growing now in the ball area period Well that what works for me
