Thiên Phú Hồ actually let's be honest this isn't a centurion it's a praetorian. And praetorians don't have shields soooo yeah. Only main battle soldiers would have them. Legions mostly. Praetorians only used the gladius and that's it because they were the emperors personal bodyguards

SexyFrogLive play duels vs AI, you get your XP at a slow rate but you can pause the match and try the Movesets. I did this till I was lvl 5 and battleready for 4v4 gamemodes

Based on the characters I currently use ,law bringer, raider, and shugoki( forgot how to spell it), I'm pulled towards the Centurion. I've never really used my assassins or quicker characters, I mainly use harder hitters with good chains and combos

What's all this complaining about the lack of a shield, and not ALL Roman soldiers had shields, such as commanders and other special units, and supposedly this guy is like a descendant, so of coarse he wouldn't have all the Roman weapons, hell, he was lucky enough to get his hands on the armor and sword undamaged, let alone to the rest of the Roman armory. Also if he had a shield he'd be too similar to the warlord and that would be boring.

No all Romans had shields. A one handed sword is almost useless without one. Just imagine fighting a guy with a spear, a large sword, or a shield with just a small one handed sword. Commanders wouldn't have actually entered combat if they didn't have one. BUT i will say it is realistic the way he fights. How he punches and uses brutal tactics like actual sportsmanship is. I don't know if they are using Latin but it sounds like a Roman cursing and taunting. If they had him using a shield and he primarily stabbed it would have been perfect

i love that the centurian (who is not connected to Rome in ANY WAY within the game world so stop crying that he's not accurate) is a total show-off. I personally love the sword+backhand armament. However, I imagine the flashier of his finishers will be really easily interrupted outside 1v1...

To everyone complaining about a lack of shield, This Centurion character acts less like a actual Roman Centurion and more like a gladiator. Possibly a gladiator who was a volunteer, yes those happened, just going off the quality of design in the armour. And fun fact, gladiators didn't typically have shields. Even if he had a shield it would much to big to work well.

Most gladiators were slaves, POWs, or criminals, but even if they did somehow join the Roman military they would probably be in the auxiliary, as they were not citizens. Also they'd have to be trained in the sword, and centurions led legionaries, not auxilia

The Centurion has no shield because adding yet another block-based, shield character would be redundant. The large tower shield of Roman fame would do little save encourage turtling and reactive play. The centurion in this scenario is likely one that has thrown his javelin and lost his shield in the heat of battle, as was somewhat common in the period. This allows for a more unique, brawler-focused gameplay for the character, one that seems to focus on aggressive assaults and continuous combos to put pressure on a foe, giving them little chance to respond in kind; a tactic that any self-respecting Son of Mars would approve of.

In the campaign, there are breakable objects and observables, which if u find will unlock background lore narrated by Apollyon. In one she says "The Iron Legion traces its roots to a much older culture. An ancient empire, led by Centurions, believed to be lost in the destruction. They weren't lost. I have met them."

My Headcanon for the implementation of the Centurion in the Knights faction is that these guys are the prisoners and vagabonds that are forced for their sentence to fight for the Knight faction citizens' amusement but after the war drags on these gritty warriors for sport are dumped on the battlefield. No one knows how to fight them because they are dirty, in your face fighters with no code of honor.
