Microtransactions are confirmed to be in in For Honor. Not just cosmetic ones , actual gameplay affecting ones , such as buying new weapons for different classes with special buffs on them. This is why we shouldn't get hyped for this game.

Knights, Vikings and Samurai are more than enough from me, they're pretty much the best ones so I don't know why you'd even want to play as anything else. Although, I think the devs should add an anti gank thing. Like for instance, if you are surrounded by more than one guy, your character suddenly gets stat buffs and new abilities to balance it out, so being hopelessly surrounded isn't that bad anymore.

Hmm, I suppose I didn't think from the actual competitive standpoint. It would become very difficult to do much of anything if you have to face all foes individually. That doesn't change the fact that it really is a prick move to attack someone from behind when they are mid-duel.

+Silorion the game already has the "stat buffs when fighting more than one guy" mechanic in place, in that it fills your REVENGE meter faster, and when you trigger that you get a little extra temporary health some stat boosts, and if you activate it during the active frames of an attack, it causes knockdown. It's not enough to tip the scales in a 4v1, but it can make a difference in a 2v1.

Silorion There is friendly fire from what I've seen. The damage done is minimal but you do get staggered by a friendly's attacks so ganging up on someone with the Vanguard classes (like the Knight Warden or the Viking Raider) is a bad idea since they do tend to have big horizontal swings. Like if two dudes flank you back and front, yeah you're gonna eat a lot of hits and probably die but if you have your front to them and your guard up you could probably still do decently because they run the risk of hitting each other and you have Revenge buildup
