A method that wasn't mentioned, and probably for good reason, is AFK farming. You can queue up for the VS AI mode of your choice with matchmaking off, then rubberband a controller. The bots fight each other, and you get token XP and steel for being in it. The match ends, and then relaunches afterwards and you cna farm while at work or school. This doesn't help you get better at all of course, but if you are trying to just get to Rep 3 for gear on a character it's not that bad. I haven't done it personally, but it's tempting to do once you already spent time leveling one character, and starting a new one puts you at a gear disadvantage regardless of your skill. EDIT: This is not coop and doesn't involve other human players. With matchmaking off, it launches you into the game with bots ONLY. This does not mess up other players like AFK farming with matchmaking on normally would.

I have champion status, but I'm not touching any 4v4 game mode again before I'm prestige 3 so that I can at least get a shot at getting good gear. I faced a terrible Orochi today, but I made one mistake and he took more than half my HP with 2 hits.

Enchisedmy after the beta and when the game released i played as a level 1 nobushi and rekt people who had tonnes of prestige, item level doesnt really make a difference but as long as you get better at timing and reacting for easy parry and stopping guard brakes 4v4 are easy, i find duels and brawls way harder because of how intense it can get. im not that good at the game btw i just have quick reaction and its easy to learn this games mechanics

Vrendan Dela Cruz Duels are harder because you have all time in the world to think. in 4v4 you have pressure, especially in dominion. You gotta get the fight done as fast as possible, because you need the point or backup coming up.

I have done my own math for about a week and I gain 250xp in 2:30-4 minutes in brawls vs 500ish in a 10 minute Dom. You might not see big number after each match but with the time spent its worth it. But this is just my opinion and my calculations I've done.

Sup Bro Sometimes. There are a lot of Conqs, Warlords, and Laws that play duals and brawls and they just spam GBs and Knock Downs. If you fight people other than that you will have a good fight. Sometimes Valk and Nobushi can cross a line though.

It's bull that she can attack that fast and do that much damage with a light attack. Also most peace keepers I play spam GB more than any conq, warlord, or lawbringer I have ever played against.

Well have to say sometime doing a bot match is more enjoyable than vs real players ( can be really fustrating) specially when the bots are high level. Training with a lvl 3 bot ( those things are beasts ! ) And trying to do the pvp orders can be annoying even more with bad teamates. I think adding a kick vote in general could be nice cause sometimes bots are way better than players

A point about grinding the bots on dominion: I'd say that boys are sometimes more difficult than players because they almost always counter your guard break, they are usually very coordinated when ganging up on you. A significant portion of players will try to spam one move because they found it effective. Plus sometimes bots can quite literally cheat.

It really bothers me that they completely ignore the duel and brawl scene. Easily the best game modes they have and I never see any orders for Duels (rarely) and every so often a brawl order. On top of that they both give you the least amount of coins, steel, and war assets. I don't know why they even have AI orders , no one wants to play 10 games for 100 steel and 1000 xp

I can understand you to some extent. What bothers me is just that there are people getting their character up to renown 10 or so and get access to some incredible lv 108 revenge gear that gives them a major edge in a battle whilst I'm only renown 3 with shitty lv 50 gear because I play the way it's meant to be played. I wouldn't mind that at all IF the matchmaking would balance teams better and take level of gear into consideration. But let's be honest: matchmaking doesn't give 2 fucks about your level of gear at the moment :/

To really abuse the minion battlefield(B), have at least 1 grenade type feat. Every time it comes off of cooldown, throw it from the point you are contesting into their minion wave, since it can be manually aimed

When your total rank for all your characters gets over a certain level, you will start encountering level 2 and 3 bots in the game. In a brawl, it's somewhere between 25-30 for both players total, but I do not know the exact level to trigger the higher bots or if both players need to have a minimum level (ie, if you have 30 total and your partner has 0, they may not show up, i am not sure how it works). This turns bot games into a better way to improve your skills.

My friend and I have only been playing duels and brawl so we've been getting our dueling skills really good and now that we started playing dominion fighting 1v1 and sometimes 2v2 is really easy

In my first ever dominion game, we were losing, then came back and almost won,..... and then the server crashed. Not a good first experience, but it luckily didn't shun me away from this great game.

You forget to mention the speed of which brawls are done compared to dominion or elimination. A brawl ( with champ status ) even against AI will net you 230-260 xp a match and 19 steel as opposed to 400-500 from dominion, however dominion does take roughly 10-15 minutes while brawl can be done in under 4 minutes, I've even had games as short as two minutes now that's including loading times, if we include loading times on dominion it's roughly 2-3 minutes longer. Which means you can complete around 3 brawl matches in the same time you take on one dominion, now the whole point I'm trying to make is faster gains through quicker matches and if you fight AI there is no shame in throwing them off the edge for an even quicker victory. You may even get an extra game or two in there if you throw them off hell players and AI alike a 1v1 for me lasts less than 20 seconds.

The xp you gain per match is determined by the score you get in that match, by far the easiest way to get loads of points is to camp a point in dominion. You get 1-2 points a sec just from standing in the objective while helping your team win. The only downside is that, eventually, the other team will come for you, so being able to do well when fighting multiple is pretty helpful. While the other team is dealing with you, your team can freely cap other points. I often break 1000 points a match doing this, loads of xp. I agree with Feenux, no better way to level up.

it seems that the conqueror feat also increases the rate you earn renown when on a point, i have played games with and without and noticed a difference. i watched my score go up double the rate of my ally when i looked at the scoreboard, and we were both standing on uncontested points.

don't sleep on duel and brawl mode. the current state of the servers mean that this mode is the safest way to get xp. even if your opponent quits it usually just replaces them with bots where as in 4v4 lobbies the game usually crashes with no xp.

I'd say practice in skirmish , skirmish nets in a lot of xp while teaching you awareness of teammates so you don't get caught in a gang bang. Dominion can do the same but I'd figure skirmish would be a better way to learn your characters strong points since it's a kill based game mode however that's my thought process.

PvAI skirmish got me 585xp after a good game playing solo. I had champion status and others possibly did but I didn't check. Honestly I prefer skirmish as it doesn't have people clashing at B point with dozens of minions in dominion getting in your way when your getting outnumbered. Dominion forces you to go to certain places whereas skirmish is much quicker paced, random spawns, only a few minions in certain areas and you can go wherever you want.

I find vs ai on 4v4 either dominion or skirmish to be good. Elimination not so much because if your team is good your maybe getting 3 kills per match. Also your point about champion status is good as hardly anyone uses it now. Have to say I only want to level to get to rep 20 since it gives you the cry wolf set for the character. Orders are nice way too but sometimes you need to use other characters besides your main which is when I usually use my other characters I'm levelling too. Worst order to do though relentless duel, mostly because you get used to depending on gear a bit and you can get a loosing streak meaning it can take at least an hour or more to finish and sometimes if I remember it's only 500 xp so it's kind of cruel tbh. Also I tend to rotate characters as it gets boring hearing ppl say omg look at your rep I'm quitting or just being toxic. Wow I rambled there. Keep up the good videos!

I honestly don't think we will ever have Dedicated Servers, Bouse. It's because of the Faction War. The P2P choice was implemented so that every platform has simultaneous updates for the Faction War. With dedicated servers we would have platform specific Faction Wars that would completely defeat the purpose of having it in the first place. This was posted on the Competitive For Honor subreddit awhile ago. That's not to say that is the only reason but that's the reason that was given.

The only thing you could've missed is exp/time ratio for duels and 1v1s. Yes, you might not get very much exp. from a match, but these matches mostly last 2-3 minutes tops. You can fit a couple 1v1s and 2v2s into a game of dominion. Not to mention if you played with an equally skilled friend with shared champion status. Could you grind out a greater exp sum from this method in the same amount of time rather than play dominion? Say a half hour or an hour?

The majority of the people I play with only grind the P V Ai route to get better gear stats. There's barely a chance to even stand against any rep 8 and above person if you're starting below rep 5. You're not losing any "skill" if you go against Ai. 90% of the matches I've done on PVP has resulted in ledging or gangking anyways. So if anything the bots offer an actual battle.

Its neither Prestige nor Renown, it be called called "Reputation Score" you gain renown during a match that translates into EXP :/ ( oh i see you mention that in the comments :P ) Also note that each class has different bonus's for gaining renown in a match, 'Vanguard' class's benefit from being outnumber in fights, by controlling Objectives and killing soldiers. and the 'Warlord' Gains more renown by assisting or saving Heroes and defending Objectives. (check "Moveset" )

If you are a decent fighter then Dominion should not be a problem. Another good mode is Skirmish. 600 XP a match and you respawn. I normally drop 700 XP on Dominion but whatever. Different matches and players will obviously get different rewards. Although for getting steel and XP, Dominion and Skirmish are the best ways to kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

I've done my own math and I've found I can do a Brawl Ai is about 2:30-4 minutes (normally takes me 2:30 unless get really horrible team mate making me 2v1 every time) for 250 xp, and Dominion in about 10 minutes for about 500ish xp depending on your score and how many people have champ status. Now you could go with Brawl PvP and that would help your skill while gaining xp and still get 250xp every say 5 minutes since it is people and takes longer to kill. I mean I have to say Dom is defiantly more fun then brawl but in my experience Brawl is better XP over all.

My question what's the point in grinding levels for honor is a fun game for most people and for others a competitive game but for neither do you need a high rank :P

Hey I've reped my gladiator 4 times mostly avoiding dominion and only against players so I think it's ok If I do dominion against AI for the xp gain
