Apollyon was an amazing character, I agree with her ideals the idea of testing humanity and weeding those who are cowards sounds amazing. Leaders like Dabney(the aristocrat we fight for in chap 1) and the Viking are the type of people who truly are sheep, not that they’re blind but that they act like sheep see sheep whenever they see or think trouble all they do is run they leave everyone including friends and family to suffer all for their survival/comfort meanwhile wolfs like Apollyon and Warren stay and defend people yes they’re methods are cruel but that’s just a necessity

Something I noticed looking around the maps. It still has this vibe. The only maps in the game that look clean and have bright colors are the arena maps. Not to mention the recent seasons we've gotten have definitely touched a more darker side with topics like Ethnic cleansing, Genocide, and now Betrayal out of desperation. Reading into the recent lore it definitely shows that they're embracing this side of for honor.

I'd rather it be a spin-off. Open world, taking place right after the cataclysm. They could put dying into a mechanic like BF1's "Storm of Steel" mission, where every time you die, it shows your name and birth/death years before you take control of someone else. You take place in brutal and slightly scripted battles. It could work, but the first game would still have to be live service as some people put a shit ton of time into the game.

First, he had now where to run. If he attempted to run, he would be cut down from behind. There is no honor in attempting that path, unless you are sure of escape. For Honor lost it's way in 2020 when they introduced Horkos and the magic stones and I stopped playing. I played 1400 hours of warden and I will never forget the times I was playing this game every day. Watching this is like visiting the grave of an old friend.

i feel that the narrator isnt just telling a story but is actually speaking to the viewers, "be mindful of the consequences before taking action", it feels like that, ive seen videos of people buying real swords and playing with them pretending to be cool or something, one person i forgot who tried doing a swift cut x motion like fruit ninja with twin short swords and almost ended up cutting 3 of his fingers off, he needed alot of stitches, this isnt just an awesome breath taking trailer, this is a lesson for the real thing, you need to respect the weapon before owning it

Judging from the cinematic movies, it's easy to tell the game devs are definitely more Eurocentric fans of Knights/Vikings than the Samurai.

Neonmaster Nelson that's not correct. Vikings were actually proficient with some forms of martial arts. Sometimes their tactics was to just overwhelm/scare the enemy, their battlecries were enough. Whilst Vikings were using Crucible Steel to forge their weaponry, the rest of Europe and Asia would have thought they were Mages, they had no idea what it was. Not to mention how weak the Samurai's weapon was, it would break upon contact with a Knights armor. It wouldn't be able to cut through the metal.
