I am not an expert on executions but heres my pitch for shinobi's, instead of the head flying off one keep the cut to the throat but keep the head on and instead add a crunch or whatever the common sound for a bone breaking is. As well as adding the animation to show the neck is being broken. Again I'm not an expert at this stuff someone could probably come up with a better idea than me. Also great video!

Vortiger has a similar problem with his fast execution, instead of the opponent’s arm flying away it could have been just a gnarly broken arm.

3:22 but is really that weird that a knight or even a viking would use those samurai weapons? I mean, we are talking about a world where these 3 (and more) constantly engage in war but also cultural exchange, so I wouldn't call it that inprobable for anyone to use any weapon, especially to try and fight back and not die when nothing else is at hand

I think what annoys me the most about Shinobi's executions is that out of the 18 executions he has, 12 of them involve dismemberment or decapitation. Compared that to Orochi, who only has like 8 that involve decapitation.

everytime i see the Kyoshin executions i think. WHY they never use the aspect of his kit. the allguard stance for an execution? why not build up with this one? let him block these attacks with some of the kaze stance blade swing in this new execution instead of a slippery evade and dodge. thats not really the characteristics of Kyoshin he is a defesive character who is countering not like an orochi

Kensei's execution is lacking a bit, because the second slash is backhanded, with the spine of the blade not the edge, Kensei does not rotate the blade. While the positioning is sorta hip/knee (hard to tell), I don't understand why it has a slash effect added on top of it. Plus, Kensei's holding the nodachi in a grip that would lead to a weak slash, at the angle it goes. The speed is nice, but it has it's glaring flaws.

I had a great idea for a new execution for ocelotl: the opponent tries to stab u with a small knife as a last effort to try to kill u but u block it with the flat side of ur macuahuitl and then u get in a kneeing position while u start to swing the macuahuitl as a counterattack and u hit ur opponent’s legs making him fall on his chest then u stand up and because the top side of the macuahuitl is heavy gravity makes the top side of the macuahuitl face down towards the enemy so u drop the spear aside and grab the macuahuitl handle with ur left hand and start bashing the opponent’s chest with all your strength(while this process is happening the opponent turns to lay on his back and sees that ur about to bash him with the macuahuitl’s top side so he tries to get away but his legs are probably broken from the blunt force so he resorts to using his arms but it’s too late as u start bashing his chest area inwards and probably crushing his heart with the blunt force)
@SurrealEuphoria5 ай бұрын
For Shinobi, the chain is rolling, so there’s the momentum of the body flying towards the momentum of a blade. If someone pushes someone else into a moving blade, I don’t see how that wouldn’t decapitate them. As for Kyoshin, his slip in-between the legs is the same movement as a break dance. He’s rotating and thrusting his body at the same time. It just looks odd in the menu, since there isn’t ground for reference.

Kensei's 2nd slash is a false edge but that's a tachi so I doubt it'd slash like it shows, for me that takes off 2 points from realism and lethality. as for Kyoshin, I just don't think rolling would work like that, Warden wasn't even aiming so it's just strange.
@Kurt20051YT5 ай бұрын
It's a nodachi, not a tachi (but to be fair a nodachi is just a longer tachi anyway lol) but since the false edge of japanese swords weren't sharpened a part from a few particular types of tanto and pre-tachi swords (tsurugi/ken), there's no way it would cut anything

I agree on your first grading, but I would put realisme much lower. For one look at how fast those cut's are without preserving any momentum.... That's okey if this was a orchi excution, but it's not and it's bieng done with a nodachi aka a big ass heavy sword. Also I'm pretty sure the second cut is a back edge cut with a weapon that doesn't have a back edge. Also for your second grading I'm pretty sure it's stabbed into the troat. What he did with the pull back is yenk true the remainig flesh. I agree with you the head popping of like that is crazy and it would have bin much cooler if just got forcefully jenked out of the troat or had the head rolling of onto the ground. The way weapon came back is compleetly realistic for once though the way it slid forward and then when it got in front at max lenght he jenked it back, so it was at full tention and actuely flew back into the hand you can absoluutly do that when well trained in these type of weapons. That's ofcourse ignoring the neccesary game mechinic where the chain rubberbands. For the last I like to add that I think it isn't slidding, but he is throwing himself. He bassicly pushes his legs of the ground pushes of with his hands flyes underneat the legs lands his feet and from there pulles himself in a crouching position. Is this move doable yes, but this close to the ground and true someons legs that is where I say that the amount of skill needed to do it makes it unrealistic. I do disagree with your cool score though, cause he is at every single point the katana slices at, so the dodges do feel neccesary and to me it looks like a men close to death barrely able to fight back flailing at a opponent in blind panic. It's suppost to be a last ditch defense right if the guy fought back like he was still doing great that would have made it unbelieveable. Apart from that I do agree with your scores.

Kensei's is very hollywood, but it's cool so it's fine. Shinobi's is just _boring_ (I genuinely thought you had accidentally played one of their other executions) and reminds us that the characters' bodies are held together with blu-tack. Kyoshin's is patently unrealistic in a silly way with the rolling around and sliding between the legs, but I do think there's an argument to be made for the strike being a kidney stab. It wouldn't be immediately fatal, but it would hurt enough to potentially take the opponent off their feet (especially if they're tired from a drawn-out fight) and exsanguination would follow relatively soon after.

@gabrielwilson70505 ай бұрын
I say yes, but understand that the game has a learning curve that demands you have great patience and persistence. The game is incredible, and I’ve been playing regularly for the entirety of its 7 year lifespan thus far. However, the community is notoriously toxic, and balancing has been the most consistent issue for the games entire life. *THAT* is where the patience comes in. You’ll be contending with and against the players who will absolutely abuse the mechanics to win, but the game itself. Some hero’s, however hard the devs try to balance them to be fair, will objectively be better than others or most. There is also the massive skill gap. Experienced players will give you no room to breathe, and because of the hyper competitive nature of the game, don’t expect to get good in the first few matches you play. *THIS* is where you need persistence. It’s unfortunately a “thrown to the wolves” type situation where you *can* go through a tutorial on how to play the game mechanically, but the real best way to learn is to…throw yourself to the wolves and just dive into the multiplayer. You’ll be rewarded over time if you just keep your head up and don’t give up. If you are the competitive type, this is the game for you! If you’re casual like me but still want to play, don’t take the game too seriously. Regardless of what I just spoke about, I would very much so recommend the game to anyone. It’s in the best state it’s ever been and like I’ve said earlier, I’ve been coming back for 7 years straight. Would objectively rate it 8.5/10 if I put my biases aside.

Honestly the last batch of executions just look so janky to me. I think they’re trying to exaggerate the body movements to make it look cooler, but it just doesn’t feel realistic. Like for example, the Kensei execution looks really cool on a surface level, but once you pay attention you notice how weird the physics of the wardens body are, and you also notice how quickly the kensei is swinging the nodachi, which is kind of a slow blade. There’s honestly so much I could say about the shinobi execution as well, but honestly the most frustrating thing is that they never seem to understand the physics of the kusarigama. The same janky movement shows up in the kyoshin execution as well, with the sliding under the legs, and the way he stabs his shikomizue into the warden like he’s stabbing a pencil through a piece of paper.

Shinobi’s is very quick with excellent momentum while getting you right back into the fight. But here’s hoping season 3’s will be better. 🍻cheers pal, I wish you a dozen lobbies without connectivity problems.
