And some affiliated churches do not believe in using all instruments in their services, they are missing out I’m beautiful talented people that can play these instruments.. Memories are the meaning now. When I was a kid (57 now) The little Drummer Boy was my favorite Christmas show. Sitting on the floor in front of the TV watching it, eating popcorn, while my foster mom painted the manger scene on the big front window of the house. Loved ones come and go until we die, but nothing replaces the memories that their love gave us.

My husband and I volunteered with Compassion International at the fKaC/Casting Crowns concert in Pittsburgh. We were setting our table up when I heard the opening sounds of this song. They did it first and I wasn’t prepared for it. I dropped my stuff and told my husband I had to go see it. I ran in and got to see this song played in person. It filled me with such joy that I cried. It energized me so much that I went out and helped the team of volunteers sign up sponsors for over 530 children in poverty. I’m a chronic pain sufferer and I’m almost completely home bound. Just being there was hard for me so the energy this performance gave my soul was truly God sent. Thank you Joel and Luke for a night I’ll never forget.

I am really a person that likes to stick to tradition. When I first heard this version, I thought, wow, too much noise! Yet, something made me replay this over and over. I am 60 years now and my favorite TV show during the Holidays was LDB. When I hear these gentlemen play this it makes me feel like that child that has seen it for the first time. I do not know how they do this but I am blessed to have the ability to still hear them, feel their music, share with the internet, and be emotionally involved with it because to me LDB is a hero. THAT IS THE MOST AMAZING, POWERFUL, MIND-BLOWING, ENERGETIC version of Little Drummer Boy! Just watching it on my little laptop has my heart pounding. I know that I would need some space to dance and jump around if I had a chance to see it live. This is an all year round song, not just Christmas. I am a Christian, I wish they would play it on Vision Radio....maybe they have, and I have just missed it.....
