I've been suffering from depression for over four years. It got to the point where I would just lie in bed and suffer from a pain in my chest that had developed from the depression. I felt empty and lifeless. But this year God just restored me and set me free from the tormenting depression. I feel brand new.. better than ever. I don't know how but I'm grateful to God. He works in ways that we cannot explain. I thought I must share my testimony because by the power of our testimony we defeat the devil. Amen

God wants you to be vulnerable and honest when you pray. He knows what you're going to pray for before you even pray. And he doesn't listen to the big words you use or the very very long prayer, he looks at your heart. God bless all who are reading this!

Although I agree completely, I would just add that I think he does listen to the longer than average prayers and the big words, but he does so with compassion, knowing those things can said with the heart as well. Anyway, thanks for the reminder to pray with real intent and sincerity.

I just lost my mother yesterday to cancer... And I couldn't be there for her last moments as I'm in Montana and she was in Michigan.. But I got to tell her I loved her one last time then moments later I get a call she passed away.. Losing a parent is never easy.. You never think you will come to the day you lose them..

Having meet both of the guys parents at Rebecca's their sister's Hawaii concert back in the 90s they are great parents. They are unsung heroes. But when I heard if the dedeciation it reminded me of my student whose mother collasped in our school parking lot. She was picking up her daughter and had an aneurysm just this past Good Friday. I conducted CPR and we got her an ambulance she was not responding and they revived a her 5 times. Although she was in critical condition we were told that the CPR saved her life. We prayed for Easter resurrection but 10 days later she passed. Here in Japan they kept it confidential from many and even now many at our school don't know that it even happened. My student was told 3 days after her mom passed that her mom went to heaven. At the Funeral the father asked us teachers to be sensitive and not to bring up mother's day or crafts at school that week. She was back at school in just 2 days and only 1 classmate knows about the death they both are only 8yrs and are unbelievably doing their best to keep it a secret. At least until the father is able to let us share the passing to others. To me they are some Unsung Heores. Please pray for this daughter who lost her mom at 8 yrs old and for the husband to be able to overcome and allow others to know and be able to pass the denial stage and grieve with us all.
