Our family of six went to dinner and then to see “Unsung Hero.” Our kids said it was the best Christian movie they’ve ever seen! My husband cried a couple times. Unfortunately, I forgot the tissues. We absolutely loved the story and the acting. Do more movies together! It was a huge blessing to our family.❤😊

I think looking at my parents in what they did behind-the-scenes with their struggle. It has taken me a couple decades and a couple of kids to give their story the grace it needs. You don’t just see the addict or the distant one…You see the parent who cried on the floor asking God for help. You see the parent that worked overtime so you had a roof, when all you saw was that they missed your performance. Seeing through the eyes of truth and from a place of love and forgiveness, you see God heal the broken.

I 'm part of having a life group. It's 12 We do Worship. Bible study communion and then prayer.our Chuch has about 200 of these groups. We know how important it is to have commuity, don't do life alone. So on this pass Thursday I said let's go see Unsung Hero instead. So we did Loved it. Sunday after Church I invited a friend that her 17 year old is dealing with stomach cancer. Had her daughter come too. I wanted them to see how the Lord turned all things around for good. I felt it gave them new hope. I also was able to share God stories in it. Loved Loved the movie Thank you all for being God's heart and hand extended ❤

I haven’t been to a movie for a couple of years but I wanted to see this one at the theater. It cost $50 for 2 tickets, popcorn, drinks and m&m’s. It was so much fun and so worth it! Loved it so much! I went to RSJ concerts and Joel & Luke were always there doing lighting and sound stuff. Rebecca always introduced the audience to her family. I’m not sure who else in the family were there, probably everyone! This was such a cool, interesting and uplifting movie about my very favorite family. I’m so glad they shared their story! If you haven’t seen it, absolutely go see it! Kirk and Candace should do a movie together! ❤

I was pleasantly surprised at how good the movie was. I thought it was gonna be cheesy with bad acting, but it was quite the contrary to that. Its a story every man can relate to, and the acting was superb. Its been a long time since ive enjoyed a movie in a theater so this was pretty refreshing.

1. Spiritual warfare and community. I do kids' ministry at my church and it's easy to get lost in the hard. What Joel said about having another perspective made me pause. Often it's only when it's too much that I start to ask for help. What you said was a good reminder to me that I'm not alone! And that it's good to invite others in. They can fight with me, and they can love on me and encourage me .. and perhaps see things that I can't. 2. Calling. I feel that knowing about my calling has not been about thunderbolts. It's just been me listening to Him and walking in faith. Often with trepidation ... as the things He tells me to do are not easy. It's only when I look back that I can see His leading. Thanks for sharing this!❤

It’s funny that Joel mentioned the phrase “jump the shark”. That actually happened on Happy Days. It was Fonzi who literally jumped the shark while water skiing. He also mentioned that someone from Happy Days was on the set of the movie. I guess it slipped his mind where that idiom came from. Planning on watching the movie this Friday with some family members. Great interview!

My Mom was abused by my Father… at the same time I was burned (3rd degree, 33% of my body), while giving birth to my sister, my Dad presented divorce papers. Mom went directly into the psych ward. We were forced to live with my Dads lovers then foster care. My Mom came back to health, fought in the courts as she was getting her undergrad. We schemed a plan and “ran away” with my Mom, two states away. She was caught years later and then given full Parentalship. She went on to Ace her RN degree the year I graduated from high school…the incredible love she showed was so obvious. She died of cancer at age 51 (1996)…she would love the film!

Candace, you don't know my family bit I feel like we're pals. I watched you on Full House as a kid. And my kids watched you on the reboot. I have a sister who lives in LA you sort of remind me of. Anyway, my Journey to Bethlehem is one of my kids' fave movies and I've been listening to For King and Country for a while now. Great tunes! But I'm writing because my daughter, now 10, looks up to you and I love sharing your work with her that she has a Christian role model who is "so cool", as cool, if not cooler than other amazing female talents (like an uber famous singer who's fans have their own moniker she is so popular, if not so Christian). I love that my daughter has people like you at our church in real life, or friends' parents, and seeing you in media who she knows as an awesome actress doing new works for the Lord. Thank you for showing up and giving us the best of you. My kids saw your brothers' ad today about comparing shows like Mr. Rogers to Blippi (the younger boys loved Blippi) and they totally got it. They are so psyched to help support Christian media, now. They thought ot was cheezy before. Or boring. Thank you and all these amazingly gifted Christian families. Thank you for helping to make Christianity cool for our kids. Thank you! From a mom who had go switch to public school from Christian a couple years ago and lost the home church we were raising them in to a cross country move... Every little bit helps. Thank you! For bringing your best believing selves and bringing together such fantastic artists to check out for King and Country. Your work is making an impact. Thank you!

The quality of film production was excellent, and I am so ready to get the DVD and share it with all my friends.

It pleases our King of Glory for all people to stay purely cleansed in Jesus (2 Peter 3) so that we can take the authority He gave us as His followers over all the power of evil ( Luke 10). When we stay cleansed and connected to Jesus all day long, we are participating in God's Living Body here on earth, rightly connected with His Ruling Headship in Heaven, (Colossians 3). And, staying connected to Jesus' Headship, allows God's Kingdom of Love, and Peace, and Joy to grow right where we live and work! (Matthew 6) LORD, JESUS, MAY "UNSUNG HERO" BLESS EVERYONE, AND BUILD YOUR KINGDOM CULTURE RIGHT HERE, BY THE POWER OF YOUR LOVE. AMEN.
