I thought verse 7 meant that our hearts are not good but they bend to God's love in obedience. I cannot wait to listen to part two.

I'm surprised that Acts 13:22 didn't get a mention, when it partly quotes this passage, talking about David as a man after God's own heart. Paul's addition of what seems to be a reference to Psalm 89 (also about David) seems to support what Pastor Begg concludes: this is about the fulfilment of God's purposes, rather than elevating David as some sort of super-saint.

Sauls line is cut off due to disobedience but disobedient David’s continues with Solomon (who follows false gods? ) I don’t understand ? Any comments to help
