That's the first Arni I've seen disassembled and restored. Very interesting piece. I have a new appreciation for them. Nice work.

Best-looking Arnie, I’ve ever seen.

I recently restored a Pulsar V011 which I have nicknamed an "Ernie" as its a cut price upside down Arnie, still some pretty cool designs with the Ernie's as Alba and Lorus made use of the Seiko V011 ana-digi movement. Its interesting how Pulsar/Alba/Lorus/Seiko used the same control and crown format as the Arnie.

Finished earlier a wonky VK63, Pulsar one in the Seiko modular 22mm unified case that can be found on all the Seiko group pieces. As its a mechanical chronograph, the chrono hands are positioned on the shaft and this one the second hand was off so rectified that then rodico'ing the dial and hands etc put it all back together and noticed the dial is one minute skewed anti-clockwise but the high chrono hand points correctly to the chapter ring and bezel at 12. The dial feet I straightened out but the problem is in the movement holes, in the end I just put it back together as the dial refused to sit down properly if corrected to the chapter ring reference, these Pulsar's are a limited edition and I just will have to live with that one second skew on the dial. Runs beautifully too, that flyback is just gawjus :D

Spencer, you make removing those c-clips look too easy. The H556 you restored for me in 2019 continues to keep amazing time (1-2 sec/week). Thanks!

I always hope you get to do a Seiko 8V20, I got a very early one here in superb condition but just not working and its just too complex for my noobishness :P

Allegedly, this Seiko watch was tested between -40 and + 60 degrees Celsius by the designers back then, and it visited both the North and South Poles, as well as Mount Everest... it's interesting because it looks like a simple quartz watch, I don't know how they could have done it more resistant to the cold...With this much power, my Citizen Aqualand jp2000-08e could also withstand this cold, right? Please write how you see this thing!

I think these watches are capable of a lot more than they're designed for. As long as the electrolyte moves (not a dead battery) then it should be good even at low temps.

New viewer here. I watched most of this so I could see the assembly. Then you cut it out. Boo! Many other bloggers video their assembly. What a up with that? Otherwise a good video.
