What a great couple. So easily pleased with the basics of life. I'm confused about apartment living in Canada. Here in the Midwest of the U.S. you are not allowed to change paint color and light fixtures unless management approves, and you have to put it back to the original when you move out.

They're looking in Toronto, I rent in Toronto and can let you know that generally it depends on the landlord, sometimes its explicitly written in the lease to not alter anything. But most times you can run something by the landlord and they're usually okay with it.

Also, pretty much NO renter pays water in Canada (Or at least what I know of) unless they are renting a full house. When they say hydro, they mean hydro electricity :)

I have been bing watching these for two days. It’s a good show but very staged. I keep seeing some reoccurring decorative pieces in every episode 😂 Also, the host, seems fake and irritated in some episodes . Not sure if she was having some bad days or she’s being her true colors. 😅
