We sold this boat for 220k There are lots of boats on the market all with different price tags it depends on whether you want to have it just as a stationary house or use it to travel in. Ours was more expensive as it had a superb engine.

It is diesel and uses approx 0.5-1ltr an hour

The short answer is No, she is not currently spec’d to make that passage. Tukelayle is currently classed as category D, vessel suitable for inland waterways, tidal rivers and estuaries. However she was built with many of the features of a category C vessel, such as high free-board and her V-bottom meaning that re-classification should be possible should the new owner wish. I don’t think it would take much to make the her capable of doing the crossing e.g... A life raft, VHF radio, emergency washboards, and the most important link a competent crew. Every year, category- A vessels sink, and every year people swim across the English channel. I have seen accounts of narrow boats going across, windsurfers, Kayakers, rowing dinghys. Even a car in Top gear! Prep is everything. Good passage planning, by an experienced skipper or Pilot, along with the right weather window, and Tukelayle could make it comfortable across the channel.

The wheelhouse roof, is mounted on 4 legs, hung on cables controlled by a hydraulic ram in the engine room. The ram is powered from the engine via the same hydraulic system as the thrusters.
