So pleased that your happy with her. One of my best mates is a welder, and he put her together in Stoke in 2014, then she went to another company to have all the woodwork done I believe she was in the water in 2016. I trust there are no leaks! lol

Really gorgeous boat, would love to live on it. We have carpet in our boat, it's luxury especially at this time of the year.😊

She’s a beauty 😁 Carpet definitely makes a difference in the cold weather! 😁

That raised edge is called a fiddle and they are more commonly seen on sailing vessels or power vessels that are intended to be used in rough or heavy seas, something one is not likely to encounter in a canal.

Ah thank you, couldn’t for the life of us remember what it was called! Very true, however the beauty is she is made for across channel navigation 😁

@@WidebeamandWellingtons - You're welcome. Been there myself. No worries. Didn't realize she was built for that. Hope they only do that on calm days.

Merlot is a lovely barge, we too had an around at the Henley show a few years ago. We were so tempted to go for a 49M with the second bedroom layout - has Richard explored the engine room on the 49M? I think he'd really like spending time in there!

Steve and Caroline 😁 she’s a fabulous barge. Yes Richard examined them all a couple of years ago at Henley too, does like an engine room 🤣 The floods have taken us by surprise so apologies for not getting in touch 😩🥰

@@WidebeamandWellingtons I thought he would ;) No worries for not being in touch, it's been a pretty poor year for doing much both on the Thames and out on the Solent to be honest! Fingers crossed we'll get a decent day early in the spring. Please stay safe, it looks quite precarious where you are moored, is the plan to stay there longer term? xx

Yeah nah..with a bridge that high you wouldn't be able to leave the Thames...ok for the EU!!.❤️🇬🇧
Looks very soulless, actually looks better outside. Apart from the toooo shiny paint. Thanks for showing us though.
@WidebeamandWellingtons23 күн бұрын
As we have dull horrible paint we love the shiny paint 🤣 Guess when belongings are removed to sell, it can remove the soul of the boat, we really liked her, thanks for watching, it’s all down to personal taste 😁

@Letshaveabutty - Agreed. But that's because it isn't occupied. The buyer would make it much more cozy with rugs, wall hangings, lamps, throw pillows, bedding and other personal furnishings. It hasn't been staged as a realtor in the U.S. might do when selling a house.
