For The Battle Is Not Yours But God's. Combating Enemies, Narcissists, Evil People and Circumstances

Hey Everyone I pray that everyone is doing wonderful!!
It is so so so so so important to inquire of the Lord always doing as He says do and waiting for His divine guidance and protection when it comes to dealing with evil, wicked narcissistic people and evil circumstances. To many times have I had these people weasel their way into my life and circumstances and ruin it because I did not inquire of the Lord waiting on His response and His divine wisdom. It's never good to act on your emotions and not have God's approval in any situation and it had been my biggest lesson. i hope that this message encourages you to wait on the Lord and to be guided by Him always!!!

I keep getting conflicted because the enemies have been my family. They intentionally conspired against me and tried to worsen my mental health. I even had video evidence. If I remove my emotions and think rationally, I don’t think they’ve changed. I’ll heard a word about Jesus’s life and his sacrifices and I’ll think, if God could forgive me of my sins then maybe I’m being too harsh, too angry, these people have suffered too, maybe I shouldn’t call them narcissists? . I’ll think God wants me to humble myself and repair things. Then I speak to them, and all I hear is empty words, I feel I can’t address anything too deep or express my pain. The most I got was a begrudging apology. And it’s always summed up by “sometimes things happen that we don’t understand”. But I do understand. Then they just act like everything’s fine and we’re close. People’s eyes really say a lot, when I look in their eyes I see emptiness, their smiles look labored. And a feeling comes over me like, “nope something’s wrong here”. A holiday will come, and people shame you for not doing something for your family, but all the other days and effort and sacrifices don’t mean anything because of a holiday. They always mention God saying “thank God” but they’re never willing to talk about scriptures or anything I like really. Yeah, to be honest I don’t think anything’s changed, it probably has gotten worse. One day I may hear someone has passed, and then that will be used against me.

Well you are right, God can forgive them. And hopefully they repent so that He does. But just because you don't wish harm on people doesn't mean you need to be close to them. Jesus let very few into His inner circle. And God does want us to pray for our enemies, but that doesn't mean He wants you to be best buds with people who want your down fall. Trust your instincts. You will know when someone is for you or against you. And when someone shows you their true colors, believe them. Don't try to make yourself believe a lie, that someone has your best interests at heart when they don't. Jesus tells us that in the last days a man's enemies will be the people in his own household. Trying to give you a pep talk because these have been the very things I have been struggling with lately. For so long I wouldn't even let myself believe the truth about people because I was too busy "trying to see the good"... if it ain't there, it ain't there...

@Vermillion73-Since these things are greatly upsetting you, pray and fast about it. Bring it before the Lord. He will reveal to you the missing pieces to the puzzle. The people who operate in this manner usually know that they need to change.

I feel this. I've struggled with similar sentiments regarding my own family. Time and time again, I've brought these thoughts to God. With the Creator's assistance, these days I find myself thinking more and more about the pain my family members have experienced, pain I think has made them the way they are. It's helped me have compassion and forgiveness, but awareness, too: my peace demands I spend less time with them but I've noticed that means the time we do spend together, however imperfect, is filled with joy more than pain. I hope this helps bring you closer to what God intends for you and yours.

Hi, if they're affecting you detrimental, please think about limiting time you spend with them and asking God to show you who you are. He does not want to watch you get destroyed in certain environments. Had to learn the hard way after a lot of screaming, gaslighting, being torn down, and felt like everyone in the house was trying to break me. I felt like I was dying or going to die after because my heart rate would get up to 200 bpm and I struggled with my health after getting out of all of that. It's gotten a lot better, but I am still recovering mentally, emotionally, and physically. Please don't take on guilt if people are hurting you. It is not a joke when it gets to that point and people will try to guilt trip and make others feel bad not understanding what it's like to have family hurt you intentionally, plot against you, be jealous, try to break you or destroy you. The Bible says a man's enemies can be that of his own household. Just please take care
