That coin with the number 6 on it looks like an old miners coin that they used while they were at work to hang on a board to show they were underground working. They would remove the coin when their shift was over and they left the underground mine. It was a way to keep track of all the miners underground.

These are probably my favourite type of hauls. I'm literally in love with antiques, especially old dolls and photos, so I love seeing all the wonderfully unique things you find!!
@SurelynotTHErose7 жыл бұрын
The coin is possibly a military dog tag! Wm is short for William and there are multiple William Pollards on record as having served in WWII *edit* I've done more research and it's actually probably from the civil war! They used old coins for dog tags! *Omg edit 2* there's a website where you can search for civil war soldiers and there are six William Pollards who were in 6th divisions! Two confederates, four unions!!
It’s a cattle tag. There’s a bunch of them out there. Cool theory though

Bunny! Take a link out but have it still attached to the bracelet. I've done that with some of my grandmother's old jewellery that I was very sentimental about! I just had the extra links hanging off kinda like a "charm" kinda deal? That way no bad juju can come of ya if it's all together still :)

Ok so, the baby shoes with bells. That was a thing back in the day. I was born in 77, and my mom saved my first set of walking shoes and there's bells on them. Mine are bells that are on a plastic cylinder, you unscrew the top of the cylinder and put the shoe laces in. Like so the child can't untie their shoes. Ha ha yeah, and the bells are useful for hearing where you child is if they wander off and get into anything. Hope I'm making sense. Loved the bears and the pony ribbon!

Kyrie, I'm like Bunny in the sense, objects become a part of me, but there really isn't anyone else I know that is into the obscure and odd and I sorta fear they'll wind up in the dumpster once I'm dead. I will do as you suggest, but I'll have to start slow. Start with just a couple of things at a time. It's like giving away a piece of my heart, which I'd gladly do if someone young needed it. It's up to Bunny as to how she'd like to handle the unboxing. But I can share that info with you as I move forward. It's, like, where do I start? 😂 I'll start in my attic and work my way down, if Bunny is interested. If she wants nothing I have, I would beg her to take my dolls from the 50s. They are like my children who never grew up but aged. Thanks for your suggestion and reply. 💐
@nyclady277 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Chris. It's not really a sweet thing. The thought of parting with them hurts my heart and scares me a bit, but that's my reality. It's more like a desperate cry for help for a good home for some of the things that I love, and played an important role in my life. 😃

Again, i like the old photographs the most. I swear i could stare at them all day and just wonder who they were. The other thing i liked was the glass flasks filled with miscellaneous knick knack items, pretty cool and cute. This store sounds amazing and like a place i could get lost in. There are some very interesting and odd items people had back in the day and it makes me happy that they've survived (or partially) and found a new home.

Bunny, i have SUCH different taste from you, but i must say, something about your excitement for your finds, along with all the different and unique items, has inspired me to get back into my jewelry making. i love creating jewelry that is one-of-a-kind. :) thanks for the inspiration!

(LIKE THIS COMMENT FOR BUNNY) Let's spam Bunny to do a horseback riding series/vlog so she can get back into it and do what she loves! Her main goal is to keep the swamp family happy and if we can convince her to do hauls then we can convince her to go horseback riding again! Much love!!

MissCurliLocks what a great idea, I’d totally watch that! I loved the bike thing she tested recently and a similar one with horseback riding would be amazing!

All of the doll parts suddenly reminded me that I still have the creepy doll keychain from your beautycon box hanging on my purse. I get questions and comments about it all the time and then I have to get into the story about who Bunny is. I loved this entire haul! I did a vintage themed wedding and had all kinds of odds and ends from people's attics and antique stores. It was a huge hit!

The test tubes were my favorite. The frankenplate reminds me of the staples in my stomach after my c-section.

I love your uncommon objects hauls? I loved the beaker full of random old objects? My all time favorite was the time you got the lesson books for school children! I would love those!
