Some context: Amenadiel (the angel) brought Malcom back from death and threatened to send him back to Hell if he didn't kill Lucifer thinking that he was vulnerable not knowing that he's only vulnerable when Chloe (Det. Decker) is around. He didn't fear Lucifer because he had already been to Hell for years. But he didn't know that angels can't kill humans to send him back to Hell which made Amenadiel's threats useless. Malcom ended up gravely injuring both of them in the season finale.

For what I remember (SPOILERS) The man with the white shirt is Lucifer, an usually invulnerable Angel. Recently, he bled, which made him and basically anyone who knew him mistakenly think that he had lost his invulnerability, while he actually lost it due to psychological problems he had related to the woman he loved, or something like this, and therefore he is actually invulnerable again when she isn't near him, but they have yet to discover it in this scene. Lucifer's older brother, and another Angel, Amenadiel, resurrected a corrupted human policeman, Malcolm Graham, and he ordered him to kill Lucifer, due to the fact that Lucifer is refusing to do his job of ruling over Hell and Amenadiel wants to force Lucifer to do it, by sending him back to Hell through death. Amenadiel and Malcolm also think that Lucifer just lost his invulnerability, even Lucifer thought this, in this scene, at least for what I remember. Amenadiel told to Graham that he would have killed him if he wouldn't have obeyed, but Lucifer revealed to him that God actually told to the Angels to not kill the humans. And Lucifer also gave to Malcolm a coin with which it's possible to travel from Earth to Hell, or from Hell to Earth, only once

Everyone has a threshold. Once you get past that you can't go any farther. The level of fear, pain, and torment from hell is supposed to be dialed up to the max so just being out of hell probably made him immune to fear to be honest as he has already been in the worst case scenario. there are actually studies of it where in cases where people are tortured too much hit a breaking point where they respond to everything with apathy even against new worse treatment.

The whole mythos needs a reboot tbh, too many sequels and adaptations, it's also waaaay too out of touch with current audiences to make any relevant sense in the modern age. Bible phase 3 has been a total disaster so far, between the Westboro Baptists, evangelical hypocrits and, well, mormons (enough said) it's really taken the whole franchise downhill fast. I mean phase 2 (the new testament chronicles) was already a bit of a woke dilution of the first phase's fire and brimstone and divine fury, but it still had some good bits I guess (Salome was BRUTAL!). Overall I give the Biblical Cinematic Universe a solid 7 out of 10, with extra credit for creativity since it defined so many modern tropes.

Funny thing is tho. Lucifer is the 2nd eldest son of God. None of his brother can technically do or say anything other then Michael. And before people start crying and saying Jesus Christ bla bla bla. Uhh no, Lucifer is 2nd eldest sons of God. Lucifer is also 100% Just like his father. That’s part of the reason why he is gods favorite son. Even after his rebellion he holds that title. If Jesus is or was actually a son of God he is nothing compared to his brothers. Lucifer was the second eldest child of god and he was a twin on top of that. Michael his twin brother and eldest to all of god’s creations is only a few minutes older then Lucifer second son of God and eldest to all his siblings after Michael.
