I love how she ended the conversation. We are all a droplet of the ocean. And hopeful of building this new world. Beautiful and insightful conversation. 🙏🏻

I go to Al-Anon and read The Language of Letting Go regularly because i have a controlling, fixing and thinking problem! It’s been a lifesaver! ❤🙏🏼 Let go and Let God!

My family was saved by AA/Al-Anon/Al-A-Teen. Later on in the 80s I think, my mom sent me a brochure about ACOA...and at age 64, I still go from time to time. Plus reading Melody Beattie's books... Yes, Let Go and Let God!

I became a master at codependency while constantly "fixing, rescuing, and making nice-nice" for my kids to help deal with their father who was very controlling and down right mean. Everything and everyone else except me. If only I had taken some of that fixing energy and applied it to myself, my 30's and 40's could have been so different.

I believe that extreme anxiety is at the root of codependency, addiction and is likely most Cluster B personality disorders too. Great conversation and have just ordered the book. ❤ and I completely agree with Melody’s perspective on us being here at this time of enormous transition for some greater purpose. What a generous soul she is with her kindness and compliments to Jen.

This was SO GOOD, Jen! I've heard of her book, but now I need to read it! Lots of good gems to reflect on in this.
