For me as a guitar student who's target ist to try to reach at least a few percent of Malcom's skills and tone, it's totally impressive how little gain / distortion he was actually playing and how little reverb he is using. It's almost clean with a little crunch and the notes fade within seconds. But still it sounds so damn great. -> Money doen's by sound. Skill and knowledge does. Which Malcom has had plenty of :-))

I don’t care, this is my favorite live Malcolm tone. It’s clean but thick and heavy. I think they beefed up their guitar sound to more fit in with the hard rock/metal scene of 1990 and show everyone they’re still #1. After this era, Mal’s tone got progressively cleaner and drier IMO.
