I am a retired computer programmer. When my programs ran, I (usually) loved to sit and see the throbber (I never knew they were called that) I would know the massive amount of calculations and work being done during that time. I'm starting to learn that seeing Gods throbber is a glorious thing.

That’s a cool way to think about what is happening beyond our own understanding.

Friends of ours at church recently lost their five-year-old granddaughter in a car accident. Yes, I’m sure they spent many moments waiting-for arrangements to be made and all the other steps that I can’t begin to fully understand. But during that waiting, they chose to stay active. They were deeply involved in helping the needy in our community and participating in Advent events. It doesn’t take the pain away, but it gives purpose, and that becomes a direction for their activity. Thank you, John. This Advent series has been deeply enlightening.

good morning ☀️ ha, ha, ha…I see me so clearly in my waiting…a fruit of the spirit that I routinely call upon the Holy Spirit. Throbbing uncontrollably sometimes… Grateful to learning the difference between advent waiting, active waiting, and waiting around. So humbling, especially waiting on others. I am in a season of waiting, waiting on becoming more & more like Jesus. 🙏🏻💕🍃
