It's always so sad to me when someone so beautiful and smart and cool and awesome and interesting is in an internal mental space where they're in such pain that they're thinking of not continuing. I'm glad you're growing into a better space now, and I hope you continue to improve your life and happiness. Also, I have a feeling you're still going to be an incredibly beautiful woman and person in a few decades. Your self-conversations are pretty interesting, and incredibly healthy.

bru I'm feeling old, and I'm still 17 until June. Once you realize that in the real world, having fun is just another waste of time, for example, games and social media, I've realized I can't stop wasting time like this and that soon I'll be paying my own bills and living on my own. I told myself that I'm already an adult, even though I'm 17; people say you don't have to worry until you are 18, but I'm already stressed out in life. I know a lot of people feel how I feel; getting old is no joke.
@enajem7 ай бұрын
I feel that--especially about having fun being a "waste of time" and considering yourself an "adult" at 17 like what is our idea of having fun anyway? retreating to online spaces and consuming media? it's a bit depressing, but both real and online life begin to seem performative and dull over time which makes "wasting time" seem inevitable no matter what you do

😂 you're so relatable. When I was about turning 20 last September, it felt like this big thing, and I started to feel old and behind and would I wish I could go back in time, bla bla bla, but when the day actually came, I felt pretty much the same. I didn't "feel" like a 20yrs old, I felt exactly the same way, just that now I have to identify as 20. The anxiety and all you feel now, you probably won't feel it as much on that day, trust me, but yeah those few months leading up to your 20th birthday, you'll be thinking about alot of stuff

I just turned 20, and I felt everything your feeling and I still do. I honestly feel no different from being a teenager? its like I've never known anything different, and then I have to ask myself. will I ever grow out of this? have I already grown a lot and I just don't realize it? I don't think people give themselves enough time in their mind to think and be close with thoughts and comfortable with sharing them! I feel like you and I are a lot alike in that way, and seeing this really made me feel better. to know that there are more people in the situation and its not just me. thank you for taking the time to pull out your almost dead camera and make this, I needed this and I wish I could return the favor and kindness of clarity, I hope you have a wonderful day :>

I'm scared that once i get older my accomplishments won't be as impressive. I used to be/maybe still am an art prodigy and as every year goes i feel less and less accomplished. A 12 year old art prodigy used to sound so much better than a 14 year old normal artist. I'm scared as i get older and older I'll have 0 improvement and will turn into just an average person.

Very interesting to hear your thoughts on getting older. Everybody is scared of it because we know that we're going to degrade. We're stuck in these hideous meat-bodies that can turn on us and make our experience a nightmare at any moment. As an old bastard, I will say that you do (unless you're a lazy dum dum, which you're not) gain many great mental tools as you age so that actually makes your suffering less as you age, somewhat paradoxically.

Ok. I confess. I had to stop at 3:41 into this video. I hope you can take this advice from an old man. Focus on the moment that you are in, right now. Cherish it. Appreciate it. Relish it. Stay in the moment. Because in a second, it will vanish into the past. Don't worry about the future, because all you have to do is wait. Just wait for a second or two, and the future will arrive shortly. And do you know how to have happy memories? Be happy now. Oh trust me. I know where you are coming from. You worry. You worry about just about everything and anything. You need to stop it because all the worrying you do tonight will not stop the fact that the sun will rise tomorrow. Trust me, the sun will rise, and a new day will begin. In the end, we will be lucky if we can spin around the sun a hundred times. Dats all. And dats not a lot. A hundred orbits, if we are lucky. It is _your_ life. No one can live your life for you. Only you can live your life. Enjoy it.
