Youve motivated me to make a plan for my postage sized plots of front and back gardens! Ive been learning from Charles Dowding and have a few no dig beds ( buried under the snow !) and some containers to follow the sun. Im even going to use my front patch for a veggie patch ! Aiming to be an early riser Feeding and watering the bitds and dquitrels gets me out in the brisk a.m - I think sharing your productivity tips would be fantastic , J! You seem so great at it!😊

Josie, just a suggestion if you crack an egg open, save your egg shell crush it down as far as you can, and add it to your tomato bed it adds calcium to the soil and helps you to grow beautiful tomatoes!

Josie’s vlog, just what I needed after a long day. That car moment was everything!!!!! I loved your smile, your joy, your ease and admiration for Charlie’s jacket. I laughed so hard when he saw your HC gilet! Wait till he comes for it😂 I even thought when you were about to try it on, you’d say “I got this for me and this for Charlie” because we know how much he loves those as well. Holland Cooper, hurry up with that menswear line. I love how you chatted about groceries from farmers. I stopped at a farmer’s market in December. This is my reminder to go back. I always learn so much from your vlogs.💗

There's a japanese word: 口寂しい ('kuchiisabishii'); which basically translates to "lonely mouth" - refers to the feeling of wanting to eat without actually feeling hungry, simply because your mouth is lonely. 😂 Pretty apt that you explained that feeling just before eating a Japanese snack! P.S. Love your vlogs! 💕

Love your Vlog, it’s so inspiring to see you passion for gardening. I’m a winemaker from Germany and we learnt in university that if you do mulching you only should do it when the plants are starting to grow and you know that they will grow for a while. If you do it too early or too late the good nutritions which the plant can’t use are going to be washed out in the ground water and a lot of the goodness would be wasted🙈. (I don’t know if it would be different in the UK but I thought maybe this information would help someone😊)

Josie I loved this vlog soo much. My greenhouse gets delivered on 15th Feb, firstly inspired by Lydia, as hers looked amazing as does yours now. So good to get ideas from you both as first time having one myself (moved from a town to the coast/countryside) different way of life, the good life as I like to call it 😊 🪴 loving the Holland Cooper Gilet, my birthday is next month (birthday idea 😉) the heart wreath you made was lovely, well done! Charlie is absolutely right re why should you not buy from farm shops if you can afford it, you both have worked hard to get where you are today, so, good for you I say. Yes I am jealous (not in a horrible way) but I get inspiration from you both, so always helps with my yearly vision board, put it out to the universe x

Charlie the more I listen to you, and already agree with you, First you don't have to justify on what you buy and where you buy it, and totally agree on supporting english farmers and produces, I am french and try to do the same here in my own country, there are suffering so much from the crisis, and about the products all imported also we have the same problem here, with the supermarkets, all the things coming from Spain, Brasil etc.. I buy organic, living in the countryside, and from farmers, and go to the market, and all of us have to do our best to eat from our country, local and in season, Thanks you 2 for nice video, sending Love to both of you, my favorite channel on YT ♥

Brilliant idea Josie 😍 Thanks for the gardening tips. It's so much better value to buy from the local farmers by far ! We had half of a cow butchered about 2 years ago. We still have a ton of Angus beef, and we might have spent about $1400. Given the prices of inflation, we have saved a ton of money. And they let us choose the cuts we wanted.

I understand Charlie's questioning his words, I guess it can be hard to hear this kind of talk, not because there's anything wrong with being financially fortunate, but just the reminder that some of us are living in a very different reality at these stressful times, I can assure you I would buy only organic quality food if I could, (I don't choose to go to Aldi or Tesco, there is no choice in the matter) I would do exactly the same as you, and in any case you're free to live your beautiful life the way you want to, and we're free to switch off if something triggers us, don't ever stop being unapologetically you

You can use most of the peels from vegetables for your 🪴. Eggs are another good way of providing calcium to plants. There are a lot of things from the kitchen that have nutrients which can be used in the garden. You can also use garden leaves, twigs etc for mulching.I do Also I do work on climate change and one of the things we advise everyone to not consume seaweed because seaweed helps to restore the ocean’s ecosystem.

Boiled wool is a miracle fabric. It ticks all the boxes... softness, warmth, durability, natural, sustainable fibre source and the longer you keep it the more character the garment derives. I'm all in favour of convincing Holland Cooper to extend it's smart lines into men's wear. Tall sizes would be wonderful. Happy planting Josie and Charlie!
